Patty and I made it back last night.

This is basically how it went, with MR CAT 2 U (Marc S) talking, and us pretending to listen,, LOL

It was great to see Bob, CJ, and Marc again. Along with finally meeting Mike and Judy. Lots of fun, laughter, and some serious car talk mixed in. Loved it.

Have lots of pics also and will post later, but wanted to get this one up.

I'm back from SEMA&APEX and I have never in my life seen so much automotive stuff, so many people, or so much traffic in my life. At least by driving the Prowler the other drivers were smiling while they were telling me about my driving shortcomings. And I got to see what the hardtop that I have ordered looks like (in black). This has got to be the best car show in the world bar none.

Hey John, in that picture I was explaining to Patty and CJ that you were checking out the new headlights and bumpers at the Dodge area when we lost you.
Made it back this afternoon after meeting my daughter in Vail for breakfast. The car will take me 'til the end of the year to clean however.
John, I'm really glad you made the call a couple months ago and hope we can get together again soon to kick some dirt around and tell some lies.
Will try to post some pictures as well later this week (or should I say send them to CJ and ask her to post 'em).
Thanks Bob and CJ for being our guides and providing us with some clear (hehehehehe) roads to race on.

Yep, he talks, and talks, and talks.

But it was fun, and we were able to see some great sites also.

John - Where are the stories about the two of you being on the same road together? I am sure neither of you stayed below the posted speed limits!

CJ you dog you.

It is true, MR CAT 2U beat me when he had his bottle turned on. Seemed like at the end of 1st and 2nd he had a extra bit of torque to pull 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths up on me at about 76mph then we would back off. I've no excuse, (except that I spun my tires through most of 1st gear, right Bob? ) When his bottle was off I had him no contest, but hey, he got me fair and square.
The pics are of me bowing down in reverence to MR CAT 2U, (inside joke)

Thanks to Bob for being the spotter up the road for us and keeping in contact through radio.

And thanks to Bob and CJ for once again the great hospitality extended to Patty and I.

Marty, Marty, Marty. Me talk? You know better than that.
Speed limits? I don't remember seeing any posted limits, do you John?
I'm sure there will be lots of pictures. Just wish I would have taken more.
Oh by the way JD's new paint is the most incredible paint I have ever seen. I couldn't quit staring at it evertime we stopped.

That is a great shot. I think JD should have been wearing the hat, however. He has the same follicle pattern that I have and that Sun can be blinding.
Nice paint job, JD.

Those are lights I made from PIAA fog lights, I drilled the old filaments out and inserted the dual filament in them. Had the brackets made from a old crank for scissors jacks. The brackets are next for chroming.

Those are the Real Rod fill in panels for the old bumpers.

Here are a couple of old pics before the chrome front end and paint.

Wanted to say I really do have some of the actual show. :, And I'm pretty sure CJ has lots to put up also.

One more thing, it was great to meet all the people. I got to meet and talk with one of my idols, George Barris.

Also cool to laugh and shoot the bull with Steve and Sandy from Bob's crew. ( I hope I have the names right)

Judy and I really enjoyed the show, although we didn't get to witness the JD - Scarsbeary showdown! I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. (LOL) It was great meeting John for the first time!

Hey Marc... How about a real showdown here in Texas??

We were really glad to meet up with Bob, CJ, Marc, JD, Steve and his wife at the Gordon Biesrsch Brewery Friday night before we all departed for home.

Here are a few shots:

What's a matter Gary? Won't they let you on the Viper site?

Sorry to miss you to Cliff. Marc had a note from 1buddyC left on his window, and Steve, sorry I missed you. This really is a great show, I have lots of info to go through.
