we were just about arriving at the Grand Canyon Tour. That was the first BIG Prowler only event. We had about 30 cars. Larry Lord got the ball rolling and Roger from Seattle did a LOT of leg work to get it all in place. What a great time and a great memory. GaryC gave us a very nice plaque, too. That was the first time I ever met another Prowler owner, local or otherwise. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 11-02-2003 at 08:11 PM |

Ed - it was 34 cats making the Grand Canyon - Route 66 Tour 2000. Lord and Roger planned a perfect trip,,,,except we didn't count on cold, rain, ice, snow, and gravel on the roads. What a great event that was, and the whole process of making new friends started. MEMORIES ------------------ 27,000 miles of smiles

quote: I bought my '97 in December '97. I only found the POA a year ago, by chance. Last December at the museum visit was the first time I met another Prowler owner, local or otherwise. BOY, was it a long and lonely time up until then. Since, my miles and smiles have doubled. I missed out on alot over the years, and have some catching up to do. So far, the only events I have been able to attend have been local. I guess I used the year to "feel out" the way the POA is, see what events are held, when and where, and get to know some of the members thru here. Although I try to reserve mileage on the car, I am below the annual mileage I originally decided on. Now I can burn a few extra miles. Since I couldn't make the "big" event at PTS this year, I was determined to make the next "big" event next year. It looks like thats going to be "local" now too. At least it will allow me to meet, in person, some of the fine people I have come to know thru here, and maybe even make a run up to Auburn next year too. Instead of looking back at the past 3 years, I'm looking forward to the next 3. I think I'm hooked! ------------------ |

Gar - I still have the license plate you gave me at the Grand Canyon tour. Had it up in the garage until the neighborhood boys and girls would come over to look at the cat and asked about it Moved it into the laundry room for now. |

We missed the Grand Canyon tour and we regret it to this day. But we have made most others. I have said many times that I have had more fun with the Prowler than any other wehicle I have owned. A huge reason for this is the wonderful people we have meet, become friends with and the good times we share. I wish we could get together more often. If you have never attended a Prowler event you have no idea what you are missing. We can hardly wait until the next one. |
