We build a tunnel to the door every year and have a blast!!!!! FOX 4 News came out one year to tape it. I have 8 smoke machines all kind of air props. 2 cases of silly string to shoot all the treaters and Glowsticks necklaces & candy to give out. We go all out for Halloween.Sorry the pictures are so bad.... We have to call the fire dept every year!! People call in every year thinking there is a fire because of so much smoke!! LOL I will post more pictures later!!!! This message has been edited by cnote6 on 10-31-2003 at 12:42 AM

Cnote.......great display!! I've been doing a "Haunted House" display at every home I've lived in since my kids were babies......let's see.......that makes 9 houses!! I also used to help the art teacher at my son's elementary school set up a "haunted house" in the art room. It's always been a blast and over the years, I've collected a lot of Halloween stuff..right down to a wooden coffin!!!I've had lots of participation in the display from family and friends and it's always been a huge event for us. Unfortunately, over the last several years, with all the stupid people out there trying to hurt children, Halloween has become more of school parties, church parties, community parties, instead of just neighborhood trick or treating........like we did when we were kids. The communities in my area limit the trick or treating time to two hours..........and I've gotten to the point that I didn't feel it was worth going to all that work for just a couple of hours.....and if you don't take it down right afterwards, the neighborhood kids think it's their right to vandalize........ For the last several years, I take all my stuff up to our cottage and do a big Halloween party in our garage for all the neighbors. I do, also, dress up and go trick or treating with my grandkids, which is a lot of fun!!! Have a fun, but safe, Halloween everyone!!!!

Deputy Dawg - You will not need a costume to scare the little kids coming to your house I celebrated Fright Nite (Detroit tradition) last night.

Oh, I wish I was there still!!!! When I was there visiting, Chris and I were testing out one of the fog (smoke) machines and the neighbors came over and asked us if the house was on fire because we were testing it on the patio. LOL Their house is known as the "Spooky House" by the neighborhood kids. Chris scares the fool out of those kids. I don't know how they ever make it thru that tunnel to the front door. You must not give out much candy or treats. LOL This message has been edited by Cnote6MOM on 10-31-2003 at 11:21 AM

Here Halloween is between 6 PM and 9 PM. It is currently 7 PM and we have not had a single Trick-or-Treater. NONE. Pathetic, and I am not even near the door to scare them away.

We must of had about 150 people. We almost ran out of candy and only had about 1/2 dozen glow necklaces left over. What a great time!!!! The chainsaw worked great this year. This message has been edited by Mrs Cnote6 on 10-31-2003 at 11:20 PM

I told you before,,,,,the word is out in your neighborhood where the Prowler Trash lives!!! You've got to distance yourself away from us for this situation to change.
