Come see it at the Benevento Booth # 10518 at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.....Automax parent company of Benevento has taken a Chrysler PT Cruiser and transformed it into a retro-look vehicle based on the 60's Batman series TV show. This "BatCruiser" is a modern day interpretation on the old Batmobile. So stopy by and visit with Batgirl and Catwomen as they fight it out over the Bat Cruiser SEMA BOOTH # 10518.

Wayne,

YES!! to all of the above. In addition, a friend/vendor of Bob's is doing a tribute to the California Kid car using a supercharged Prowler and it will be debuting at SEMA!! Bob will have about 50 of his image vehicles there also, with 26 of them being brand new for this year.

Can't wait,

Patty and I are heading out tomorrow for a weekend cruise through the forgotten Sierra Gold Mining towns up by Reno and Lake Tahoe with our Northern California Group, home for Halloween,
Then on to SEMA. Be good to see some old friends.
And all the cool toys.

CJ, are the image cars ever sold, or are they scrapped like the test mules?

Can't wait to hook up with some long time Prowler friends to view some automotive art, accessories and hardware. And a chance to do a little hi-temp cruising, course we've been in the 80's for the past 10 days. Hope the mountain passes are dry on the 4th.
JD and Patty have a great time and be sure to save your car for SEMA.
CJ, ready to be our personal SEMA guide?
Hey who else is going to be there? Let's get together for a cruise or?

Yep!! Got my walkin' shoes ready...........

Wayne,

The image cars are different than concept vehicles. Vendors submit proposals to Bob (he heads up the Image Team) with the intent of being able to purchase what they call "dollar cars" (i.e., Jeeps, Prowlers, PT Cruisers, etc). The proposal consists of drawings showcasing a "concept" of the image vehicle, information on what will be done to the vehicle, how they are incorporating their products to build the vehicle, etc. They are also required to submit how they are going to "expose" the vehicle to the public. For instance, how many magazine covers is it going to be on? How many venues will it be taken to for public exposure (i.e., car shows, etc.) in what timeframe? Since the vehicle belongs to the vendor, and after their commitment to DC is complete, it is up to them as to what they do with the vehicle.

That's very interesting CJ.

Another question if I may. Does DC give the cars to the vendors under these agreements or at some sort of discount, or are the vendors just applying for the right to showcase a DC vehicle?

So, are there any other owners going to be able to join us next week? John, Patty and I plan on doing some cruises while we are there and it'd be great to have some other cars (Prowlers, rental cars, daily drivers) join us.
