Can anyone tell me about the neon street glow? I went to get an estimate on putting some in and the guy said that he couldn't put a glow stick in the front cause the is no where to mount it same with the back. He said he could put the 30in and the 54in on the sides, but then I would only get the sides to light up. Then he said the side would be hard to mount because if I went on a bump it would probably brake the light. Where do you mount it in the fron the back and the sides? Has anyone had any trouble with them? Did you install it your self or pay someone to do it? O yea! He said it would run about $550 to $600 for the installation plus the kit, does that sound about right?.If anyone has pictures can you please post them. Thanks |

You will get some good answers and info. Hang in for a little while and DO NOT go back to that guy for anything. Here is one VERY OLD thread. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002390.html This one has a couple of links. You can do a search on this site and get 89 hits. The search feature is in the upper right portion of the screen. Just type in STREET GLOW and be sure to open all forums. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004700.html This message has been edited by ed monahan on 10-15-2003 at 01:18 AM |

Bought mine (street-glow) on E-Bay for $118.00 + shipping. Installed myself, took me about 10 hours. Mounted the 30" in the front and rear, the 54" on the sides. I put the rear of the car up on ramps and jacked the front up. Not much trouble finding a location for them, most of the time spent on installing the wiring and switch. They have been on for 7 months and no problems! Like Ed said........stay away from that crook! By the way, the local place in my town wanted $200.00 for the tubes and $250.00 to install. ------------------ |

Bought ours at Pep Boys and installed in around 3 hours ourselves. Not hard to do at all. Wrapped all of the wiring and wired it all with not problems. It's easy to do yourself and we got our set on sale for $140. Tami |

Got mine for $99.95 at Pep Boys. 1 30" on front, one 30 inch on back, two 48 inch (missing a few inches toward the rear, will put on 54 inch on soon), on either side beween the lower fiberglass panel and the aluminum frame. Had to undo the clamps that hold the panel to the frame and then slide thru the kevlar body tub straps. No drilling, just zip tied on. I also have 20 inch that shine through the vented louvers in the side panels. I did it all in about 5 hours (running wires with spilt wrap the most time consuming) - just used front ramps. Good luck, Kendra Here is a picture of the louvers- the light is actually purple. This message has been edited by prowlerbabe on 10-16-2003 at 08:01 PM |
