I HAVE BEEN GETTING AS MANY AS 60 EMAILS A DAY FROM MICROSOFT ABOUT UPDATES...I MUST HAVE CLICKED A BOX SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE TELLING THEM TO SEND THEM TO ME BY ACCIDENT BUT NOW I CANT FIGURE HOW TO GET THEM TO STOP......ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS??

Do not open any of those attachments that come with those emails. They are not really from Microsoft. It is just a new way to spread viruses. Microsoft has stated they are not the source of the emails.

That's correct. Microsoft does NOT send notices of updates to your email. I get those too and my Norton catches them. Those emails have viruses in them. DELETE them!

I have CableOne as my provider, they have a program to screen virus and junk mails, when the find any things suspicious the will e-mail me let me know, I will go through and delete the. I found a lot of Microsoft Windows EX upgrade it contained viruses.

It's kind of been semi stated here, but Microsofts official stand is that they will never send an email with an update included. They will only provide updates via "secure" web pages.
