Well at least he's honest!! I was at a race about 6 years ago in Nazerth PA we were staying at a hotel, and were walking accross the street for dinner. This guy walks up and says he needs some money for something to eat. All my friends said nothing and continued walking. I grew up going to NYC for Knicks + Rangers games at Madison Square Garden. So i knew what was going on with panhandlers. So i said to the guy if your hungry come inside with us and have dinner. He said ok. As we were looking at Menus he says to me he would really like a drink instead. I said i'm willing to buy you anything you want to eat, but i'm not about to buy you liquor. He said Ok Man! Got up and left. I could tell you stories all day about our trips on the train to NYC, and the characters we ran into at Grand Central.

This past winter, Bob and I attended a car show at an arena in downtown Detroit. We stopped at a local restaurant for a bit of dinner before we left for home. As we were leaving, an older, destitute-looking man asked us for some money for food. I felt bad for him, so Bob gave him some money. We sat in our car and watched as he went inside the restaurant and ordered food and sat down an ate dinner. I guess not all who ask for help are looking for alcohol.
