Well I went to the Jets Home opener today. Before the game they had The Orange County Chopper gang on the field with a Jets Bike and their Black Widow Bike. They stayed for the game and were a few rows in front of me. Jets sucked up the field but at least i got to see something interesting.

Speedy--Unfortunately I started liking the jets when the AFL started in 1960's. I'm an hour away in Western CT. So the only channels we got back then were NY and CT stations. (Antennas on top of houses remember). I grew up liking all the NY teams, in all sports. If your a true Fan you have to root for "your" team. 69 was a great year for Pro football and the jets!!It been very hard over the years being a jets fan,i must admit. The season looked promising until Pennington broke his hand!The jets started slow last year and still made the playoffs. Who would have thought the eagles would be 0-2? Buc's 1-1? Its to early to quit. I have season tickets and if i tried to sell them now i'd loose money Glad to see redskins playing good, you got some good EX-Jets!!Would you have Paid $35,000000. for one wide reciever if you owned the jets!!If they did, what would the rest of the guys want!!I don't think they will beat out the Giants for division crown!

Boy Chuck you bring back some memories.. I was born in Jersey City and lived up in the Fort Lee, North Bergen area of Jersey for 30 years. I used to go to a club on Hudson blvd. (now Kennedy blvd) and it had a football theme. Well guess who hung out there, Boozer, Snell, Joe Willy and all the rest of the Jets.. Your right in that was the days of football!! Even saw Tarkington, when with the Giants, in there one night.. Sure miss those days...

Moved to Texas in 72 and haven't looked back once though.. Houston had some of those days too when it was "Love Ya Blue" days with "The Bum" at the head and the "Tyler Rose" in the back field.

Spoons---You move to florida and all the sudden your a Dolphins fan?? Oh thats right, you were transplanted up here in CT to start with. Dolphins aren't that good, the jets just played like Sh_t! They got off to the same type start last year, but that was last year! I think By the time Pennington comes back the season will be lost. We'll see today if the jets have anything against New England!
