Sunday night I got something in my eye and it really bothered me all night. In the morning it seemed okay but about 5 PM I must have jarred it loose and it really hurt. It felt like sharp metal. As we pulled into the hotel parking lot, Richard Jackson, who used to go by eye doc since he is an eye doc walked toward us to see what we were doing about dinner. I told him I had something in my eye and it really hurt and was inflamed.

He asked if I had a ball point pen. I figured since he was a Dr. he either wanted a check, up front or I had to sign a waiver before he looked at my eye. lol.
He wound up using the ear piece of my eyeglasses to roll back my upper eye lid and remove something that Sandy said looked like a sesame seed. He had some type of eye drop for infection and gave me that. He only charged me $ 200 since he is not licensed to practice in Tenn. lol.
THANKS RICHARD, I really did and still do appreciate the relief.
You meet the nicest, most helpful people in a Prowler. I am glad I talked Richard and Sharon into attending.

OMG>>>I love it!!!

Ed - First, I thought this story was going to be that a piece of drywall texture fell from the ceiling in your hotel room,,,,,the room next to the pool pump motor(always the lowest priced room available),,,caused by the vibration of the motor running,,,thus blaming me for your troubles. Glad to see it wasn't and that Dr. Richard successfully operated on your eye with the latest equipment to save you.

Its always good to take the doctors along with you. On our local Az cruises, we take along Lori Rutherford (emergency room nurse) and Dr. Todd Kile (bones and sternum cracker at Mayo) for the emergency like you describe. Great people

AC,

That's good advice - I brought along Dr. Prowler and his two nurses. A quack from Canada, but it's better than nothing

I have perpetual nursing care with Sandy in tow. I was concerned about Richard's low overhead, outdoors and a ball point pen but it was painless (until we did the eye drop thing. That stung for about 30 seconds). I didn't think the medicare thing was even slightly humorous. lol. I did actually.

I will ask now. How do you get all those good looking women to travel with you when MeanGene can't even get a Polish refugee to ride with him? lol.
