I was standing in the parking lot about midnight or 1 AM and two young girls and a guy asked if they could take pictures. I said sure and struck a pose but they meant pics of the cars. I told them they could sit in the car and have their pics taken. I had the hardtop on so I offered other peoples cars. They were overjoyed. Scott Williams said lets take them for a ride. Sandy was taking her nightly walk so I told the young girl with me to wave to my girlfriend as we passed her. She replied. "I'll bet she would like that" kind of sarcastically. It turns out the two girls were from Poland and the guy was from Armenia. They are here working in the hotel to make enough to finish college. They already had a law degree. The one was working at the pool making sure everyone had a hotel room key to get in.
While driving I asked how long they had been in USA. She said 6 or 8 weeks and in Pigeon Forge for 4 or 6. She asked me if Pigeon Forge was a typical midwestern city. After I stopped laughing I told her the only other city like it was Branson, probably. I didn't mention it wasn't EXACTLY in the midwest.
I asked what they had seen and she said, "Nothing, we don't have a car. We only see what we can walk to see". I told her she needs to see the mountains and she said she would like to see them. I told her to come to the parking lot on Wed. about 9 AM and we would get them a ride thru the mountains (via the Dragon's Tail and Cherohala). Scott W and Don W. gratiously offered to take them and did in fact take them on the trip. We told the guy he was out of luck! lol. He had to work on Wed, actually.
So on the trip thru the Dragon's tail we had Olivier from Switzerland and two girls from Poland, along with the cliff dwellers, Frank and Brandi.
I think that is what the two girls will remember most from their stay in America.
They thought every town in America was hotels, fast food and putt putt and everyone drove a Prowler up until then.

We did not see her and she did not see us.
As I pulled out of the lot, DavidN was giving me grief. I told him to bend down and look in the car. He was shocked, to put it mildly. They were 24, by the way. I was trying to fix up MeanGene, honestly but the other two were like Beagles in November.
