VCD - sounds like you got the Ford boyz excited over there

You should have told them "NOT to grab this Ram by the horns" lol

Good story

I was also fortunate enough to drive one of these beasts - what an awesome machine - hugs the road and it flies

Christy got to drive because she was the top female driver. Chris was an also ran. He was lucky they didn't select the passengers from the good drivers or he would have been eliminated as a passenger, too. lol.

rough is right... I deleted my discussion thread on the nloc site. I got tired of those guys picking apart every little thing I posted. Some of them seemed offended that I suggested that Dodge had a faster and better-handling truck. I was just reporting what I observed.... their loss.

I like my Lightning, but I don't hang out much at the Lightning site... My friends are in the POA. I probably won't be doing any Lightning events.

The SRT-10 Viper truck is already being advertized on the Dodge site... It is definitely going into production. They will build on the order of 10 or so per day. Truck will be built in Mexico, with the Viper engines and transmissions from CAAP, Detroit.

Price will be on the order of 45 to 50K, but the first year, I am guessing that it will be difficult to get one for less than 60K.

They basically have the production line ready to go. The two silver trucks that we drove were pre-production trucks (not prototypes). Look for articles in magazines in the next few months.

The trucks where doing about 47.5's, I too got to drive one I was the first one and everyone freaked cause if anyone screwed up we all would have lost the chance to drive these 200k machines.

Again thank you for all who made this possible.
