What have those of you with trailers decided to do about a spare tire? I had thought about purchasing a matching rim and tire, but wanted to get something that didn't take up so much room in the trailer. I found a small temporary spare from a Neon with the same bolt pattern, but it will not quite fit over the hub on the trailer. Any thoughts?

Just a word of warning. Pulling a trailer with mismatched size tires is an accident waiting to happen. The trailer will have a real tendency to "fishtail", and I personally wouldn't do it. I know a full size spare takes up a lot of room, and while the fix-a-flat is an option that will work in many situations, I guess I'd rather not take the chance.

Actually I bought an inexpensive air compressor that plugs into the lighter socket and carry a plug kit. AAA is insurance!

2 cans if fix a flat... Next goto the first used tire shop in town buy a steel wheel $10 and tire the same size around you will have no problems.

I went to OK to pick up a SeaDoo and had custom wheels on the car and the tire blew out, I put the spare on but knew that I could not tow the trailer back. So I went to town (small one) and no luck on getting a new tire. So I asked the guy where a used tire shop was. I went there and asked for a 15" steel wheel and a tire that was the same size around as the others. Total cost out the door $25 and made it home safe.. Just a tip.

I carry a spare trailer tire in the trailer, and I can still get a lot of stuff in there!!! I find that the extra weight in the trailer helps.

I just called Tire Rack 1-800-428-8355 and ordered a set of Michelin (ZP) run flat tires. They are a size smaller but the Goodyears looked too big anyway. And no worry about flats, now all I need is the 3-M no bra look. Does anybody know if I can get the 3-M plastic and do it myself. Thanks in advance cause this is a really neet club.

WAYNEW has it on his. I think he did it himself, but not positive. TRandall is getting it for his now but is having it done at dealer. I'm sure you can get it and do it yourself. Just call a dealer and ask.
