One was to CWTILSON which I did not send. I'm not sure how many others show having been sent from me. I did not send them and apparently they have a virus. |

Chuck I sent you an e-mail last week and you asked about it. I have a virus scan that does each e-mail that I send out just to make sure none are present, PK |

Just happened to me again (after a few month reprieve). Believe it is the SoBig virus. SOMEONE ELSE gets it and it uses someone from their mailing list as the "sent from". Either the virus gets delivered; or, if it doesn't for some reason, you get a "recipient not found" type return. Lots of fun. -GRROWL |

I got the worm today but good old Norton took care of it for me. It was something with prowler listed, but no text in message only attachment. I just deleted it. Never had seen the name either |

Here's the latest and greatest virus of the day... Seems no one can keep up. How many is that in less than a week??? I would cut and paste, but that would be copyright violation, so here's a link. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030819/ap_on_hi_te/e_mail_virus_1 Ron |

When I logged in I had 20 virus emails, either returned or warning me I was sending them out. I was not home. It is similar to the one last year. |

Ed, I got almost 70 just yesterday. I'm glad I had my Norton updated it caught them all. Could it be because school is back in? |

Public Service Announcement: Everyone seems concerned with updating their virus scanners. Note that some recent vulnerabilities rely upon flaws in Microsoft OS's, such as MS Blaster. MAKE SURE YOUR MICROSOFT PATCHES ARE UP TO DATE (Windows Update, also click the 4th tab at the top to update other Microsoft applications - "Office Update"). -GRROWL P.S. - If you want something to be concerned about, install and run SpyBot or AdAware. If you're not running any spyware detection programs, you will be AMAZED at the stuff that's running on your machine (cookies, recording key-clicks, stealing passwords, etc.). |

Cnote6Dad got about 7 yesterday also. Some had "movie" in the subject line. He also is getting them from someone using people's names from his own office. This went around last month and I accidentally opened one and it took him all day to fix it. Just don't click on the paperclip if that is how it's coming and you should be ok hopefully. I hear alot of this comes when e-mails are forwarded all over with everyones e-mail address for all to see. When I forward things, I delete all e-mail address from other people to keep it private. |

Not being a computer person, I allow my McAffee Virus Detection Software to update itself whenever it fells like it. I do the same for MS Windows. That way I'm always up to date on any new protection software they come up with. So far it's working. I haven't gotten any of the recent flood of viruses that have come out. |

I have also updated Microsoft with all patches. The penalty for creating an virus should be for 1st offense lose 1 hand, 2nd offense lose the other. I can almost guarantee that if they intiated this as the penalty, they likely would never have to carry it out. USA to soft on crime. JMO |
