OK,

I know it's not a Prowler, but I did find a unique car and was wondering if anyone knows anything about Buick ?

Found a 64 Riviera, Dual Quad 465 (425 CI) Super Wildcat (gotta like the Cat part) motor, Loaded with PW, PL, PS PB, Air, Cruise , Auto Dimmer Headlamps, Trunk Release, Power Vent Windows, Power Antenna, AM/FM Stereo, has the Original Big Air Cleaner, 3:42 Posi Rear. Sounds and Runs Excellent. In #2-#3 condition. VERY presentable. New Tires, Has American Mags on it but has the original Spinners. New Exhaust Shocks etc. Just a clean nice looking and Great Driving car. Can pick it up for around $8500 which I think is a very good deal. Anyone else out there know anything about these cars ? Yellow with Black Interior. Let me know. Wife thinks I am nuts.... I think it is a very good deal.

Thanks !

John

I have dealt in classic cars for many years and found one formula that ALWAYS worked for me.....BUY WHAT YOU LIKE, AND NOT AS AN INVESTMENT ONLY.......another way to look at it...you can't lose more than $8500. far less than the depreciation off a new minivan etc for one year.....so what if the car is totally worthless in a year or two, you are still ahead...buy a car you really like, clean and rust free as possible with as few mechanical problems as possible.....avoid cars with lots of trick electronics as they tend to age poorly, past body problems or serious mechanical problems....you want to drive it, not fix it all the time....repairs are frustrating and eat lotsa $$$$....price, so what if it is a few dollars over market...if you plan to turn the car quickly, it may be very important, if you are going to enjoy the car for a long period of time, price is less important ....good luck and have fun shopping....yes, you are still welcome anytime to cruise a Viper

your wife....should have seen mine when the first winged cars started appearing on our doorstep....they are odd looking at best...this one arrived as a one owner, had to be pushed off the trailer and into the garage...only had 6K miles, but it was "BUTT UGLY", horrible custom paint from the seventies and a near $50K price tag 15 years ago.......bottom line, they will get over it sooner or later, sometimes MUCH LATER Later on she used the wing to hang laundry on to dry...I had the most expensive clothesline in town....
