A couple of months ago I sold my trusty orange Kat....got a call one morning from a guy wanting to buy it and he wanted it worse than I did, so it was sold immediately.....finally decided this afternoon to pull the trigger and order a replacement for the Prowler.....taking my wifes 2001 Vette conv and having a 53/C5 conversion done to it....I decided on the white/red for her Vette.....she doesn't know I have done this yet, but she likes the 53/C5 from the pix.....reserved car #52 for her 52nd birthday.....I will take her donor Vette there near the end of Oct. and they will have the car approximately 10-12 weeks to perform the changes....

They also do them in any color combo you want....visited the facilities last January.....very nice work, and the finished products are first class.....

....So far there are only about 45 of these cars in existence, none in Indiana....should be a real head turner....it can be made off of any Vette conv. from 98 or newer....any color Vette can be transformed into any color 53/C5 you wish with any interior color combo....I decided to go with the 50's look on this one for my wife.....have plans for a second one later in a newer color combo for myself....should be fun....

Larry.Congrats. The 53/C5 truly has a classic look and I like the white / red combination... Friend of mine in Lafayette has same combination and did the same (surprise his wife as a gift). I hope your wife doesn't read the POA board... ------------------

Larry, Can you share some costs for the conversion? Or provide a contact website or number? I'm curious on costs. I have read some things about this in some of the car mags and it appears to be a first class operation as you stated. The look is awesome from photos that I have seen...

Price is approximately $27K to $30K depending on the interior.....$30K gets you the new red interior plus all the body mods.....if your car already has red interior, or you want to keep the current color interior, you will save $3K off the price.....the company is... Advanced Automotive Industries 1763 W. Hamlin Rd. Rochester Hills, Mi.48309 contact.....Steve Pasteiner Sr. ...1-248-852-2900

Prowlerman....you got mail ps...I liked the car from the first time I saw a picture of it....I wanted to see it in person to see if it looked "right"...it is more impressive in person than the pix....they can do them out of a Z06 if you desire, but not a fastback due to the trunk....they can also convert your car to a convertable if you want, but that is another $12-14K....better off to get a convertable to start with...

Fantastic looking pics. Why don't them make them like that from the factory-sure beats the looks of the regular C5! Is that a keeper for a while?

Larry - I saw one in person at a car show in Minneapolis a few weeks ago. It appears to be a nice package. Be sure to check the panel fit. On the one we saw, the front fender on one side did not fit well at all.I would choose either the white or the maroon. Have fun with it!
