I would vote for Arnold if I lived in Ca. He couldn't do much worse than that tax and spend Davis loser. It seems to me that Ca. needs to put a stop on spending to prevent the constant support of illegal aliens living there. Arizona is not far behind,,,,,illegals entering our hospitals to give birth or fix their health problems,,,at the expense of the taxpayers, is draining our state funds. Your thoughts? |

As you all have noticed, we will probably live in the Terminator state in a few months. Yesterday, during Arnie's press conference, they interupted the national news for, he said he had plenty of money to run and would not need donations for the cause. I will see if there is a website though. Finally, a Governer that is not trying to clean out all of our pockets. |

Jerry Springer decided not to run in Ohio. He was actually on city council here, paid a hooker in KY with a check, resigned and later was the top vote getter which made him the Mayor. What a country! What an idiot! |

Just a little known fact about Arnold... When he came to the U.S., he didn't have a job, so he and a fellow body builder got together and went around trying to sell people a new chimney. He would go up on the homeowner's roof, after telling them how bad a shape their chimney was in, and actually show them how "in need" they were of a new chimney by grasping the bricks and pulling them off, taking apart their chimney, by hand, to get the job. ------------------ |

With movies to his credit like "total recall" and "the running man" how can he lose? |

You Americans are getting as bad as your northern neighbours, but at least your politicians have SOME claim to fame. The list of candidates is a total joke. Only in politics can you apply for a job for which you have no clue or experience and still have a reasonable shot at getting the job. Whoever wins will in all likelihood be themselves recalled or will lose the next election as there is no way out of the California mess that will still get you votes. What they really need is an experienced turnaround CEO for one term that will cut taxes and slash spending to the bare bones and who could care less what people think(which of course will not sit well with the mostly extreme liberal left of California). In politics, if you do what is needed for the long term good, you probably will never get voted in again. |

Wayne, you will never get elected. You are too smart, can see the entire picture and tell the truth. You are definitely OHH for Three. Sorry. What you said is right on the money, however. |

thanks Ed, not sure it is the smarts, more likely just the years of frustration at the deadbeat politicians we have up here |

Wayne - With all due respect, I wouldn't go that far. Arnold's beliefs go back to the days of the Rockefeller Republicans. It wasn't until the days of Reagan that the party moved to the far right conservative values and prosperity. The Govenator,,,,,kind of has a ring to it...... |

Although Arnold has a good chance at winning just because of who he is (and the stupidity of the general public), having him in office is like taking your Prowler to McDonalds for repairs. What we really need is somebody who knows what the heck they are doing. I read an editorial recently that said the "term limits" for elected officials and "balloted propositions" leave California on autopilot with no one in the cockpit who understands how government works. I think it is a pretty true statement. No one can be in office long enough to get experience and the public controls everything anyway though all the balloted propositions. Glad I don't live in Ca. Consider this, though. Gray will run also. With 300+ candidates running, he will probably get re-elected. So many voters will vote for---"anyone but Gray Davis" they will split the vote so many ways that Davis will slide right back in. Of course, the recall election hasn't even been run yet. This may all be a bit pre-mature. |

Rumor has it that there are a lot of absentee ballots being sent to Palm Beach, FL. Remember it is just a rumor. You heard it here first. |

New wrench thrown into the fire: When SlickWilly and Hillary confront and demand Gov. Davis to step aside (resign his governor's position),,,,this will leave the present Lt. Governor in charge of the state,,,thus voiding out the recall vote entirely. It's possible that there will be no election at all. Ed - you heard it here first |

Alley Cat, everyone is talking "experience". That state has been run the last several years by folks with quite a good deal of experience (so they say). And they have sucessfully run the state deficit from 9 billion up to 38 billion. How much more experience can these guys afford. I'd say it's time to try a man with a lil less of it. |

quote: We have people that really know what they are doing!! That is how we get this: http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/009312.html These professional politicians know only too well how to strip the people. We need non-politicians that care about the state and the country. This is how the government ran after it's inception, and it ran quite well. The career politicians only care about themselves and their career. ------------------ |
