CJ, whats the latest? Last I heard it was not. Still true? Purple Lady and I are giving it some consideration instead of the PT Convert.

Good question Rich! Just yesterday at our local car show, two Crossfires with California manufactuer plates showed up to let the public view and DRIVE them. Just sign a waiver and take it for a spin. And I'm not talking about a spin around the block. Out on the streets,,,push it hard to see how it goes!

One of our friends is interested in buying a Crossfire, so your question to CJ,,,,,you beat me to it!

BTW - Tommy Kendall (former Trans-Am/IMSA champion) test drove the Crossfire and said: "This is a world class car"

That is correct.....Crossfire does NOT qualify under Friends and Family. Sorry!

This year to date, we have given out 35 Friends and Family certificates.....approximately 30 of those were to fellow Prowler owners. We thank everyone for supporting DaimlerChrysler products and urge you to take advantage of this great, no-hassle opportunity! The program will continue to run until Dec. 31, 2003.

Agreed, Alleycat........it is a great car!!! Bob is VERY impressed with it and if it gets his approval, it's got to be good (he's very picky and very critical when it comes to cars).

I got a Crossfire promotional CD from my dealer, who felt sorry for me, because I had to wait so long to get my balljoints done. Since I have no interest in the Crossfire, anyone who does is welcome to it. Let me know if you want it and I'll mail it to you.

Both Tom Mills and I already own Crossfires..his is a White Automatic and mine is a Sapphire 6 speed...
We've talked several times and I know he is just as pleased with his as I am with mine..
I'd easily choose it over a PTR convertible...but i have a few other convertibles to choose from so the Crossfire for me was what I desired.

Rich, if the Purply Lady can hold out, the Crossfire Convertible should arrive in about a year. I would expect to see it at the Detroit Auto Show this January.

One of the main design attractions for me is the boat tail style rear. I am fairly certain they cannot duplicate that in a soft top.
