I'm not signing the petition!!!The woman is in need of attention, she is old , sick, nuts whatever you would like to call it. Might have had a mini stroke, who knows. Anyone with any brains at all that wanted to kill her dog could have done it alot easier. Try picking up the phone and calling the Police ,animal control officer, and having them come pick up the dog. What do you think the judge is going to do to a 74 yr old lady???? Its a shame, i feel bad for the dog, but there are thousands of people out there that shouldn't own one. Just a few years ago my friends 80 year old aunt got a puppy as a companion. It was going to much on the floors and she decided to stop the problem. She didn't give it water!! It died!!She never had a dog before and she never realised it would die without it!!!

I won't comment on this lady specifically. What happened was terrible, but the reality is... at best, she will only get probation. The guy that trained my dog, (helped me train him) also trained police dogs for many law enforcement depts. He had a history of animal abuse (which I found out about later). He tried to get me to leave my dog with him for training when I turned down his $5500 offer for him. I came to classes instead. He wanted me to hit my rott in the head with a riding crop to teach him to mind. I refused. He was caught with 3 grizzleys in a horse trailer in his driveway in the Houston area. (Rotts were long ago used to hunt bear.) People would drop their dog off for training and go back a week later and find that their dog was no longer there (most likely trained and sold for lots of money) or their dog was emaciated or dead. Then he would act surprised and offer you pick of his next litter. He faced MANY charges MANY times. The AKC refused to register any dogs he bread even if pure. The state refused to give him a trainers license so he would just re-register with his brother's name or his girlfriend would register for him. He always got out of it on a technicality. He was finally caught, on film, hanging a rott from a tree to teach him the meaning of the word "NO". We got him now, you say? Not so. He was found guilty and sentenced to 2 years in prison. He appealed and got off on a technicality without serving a single day. This was not even an old man someone might feel sorry for. I have since seen him on the local news being arrested again for animal abuse, but they said he was someone else. He was using his brothers name for the arrest. I called the police dept. that arrested him to let them know who they had really arrested, who referred me to animal control, who referred me to the sherrif dept, who referred me back to animal control, who referred me back to the police dept that arrested him, who didn't know what to make of my information. He got off again. He moves around so he can't be found. I have no problem telling you his name. Joe Dallas. He is also known to use the name Robert. If you encounter this guy in your town, or see his business cards at your vet, You should at the VERY least, warn people of his history, if not notify the authorities. He is a good trainer if you use his useful tips only, and use them to train your dog yourself, but don't leave your dog with him for training. And trust yourself in what he tells you to do. The Rottweiler Rescue League told me that it is a wonder he didn't ruin my dog. He didn't only cause I wouldn't do half of what he said to do. I used his tips to train my dog myself and I, nor anyone that ever met him (my dog), had never encountered a better trained, more well behaved dog. Professional trainers and breaders alike. Sorry to stray like that, but the point is, nothing will ultimately happen to this woman above, no matter her mental condition. That's the sad thing about it... (Stepping off my soapbox now.)
