This is really off topic, but...talkin' to CJ today and I told her a story that she said I had to post...Several weeks ago I pulled into our local supermarket. In the aisle ahead a person (who turned out to be a very petite young lady) pulled in with a huge Expedition. She opened the door and dropped something onto the pavement with a rope. It was the kind of stool you get for kids to reach the bathrom sink to brush their teeth. She stepped onto the sill, out to the step and finally onto the stool. She then placed the stool back into the truck. Later,as I was leaving the store I was in my truck ready to leave out she came. I had to see this! She unlocked the truck, took out the stool and reversed her exit..stool, step and sill and hauled the stool up with the rope. I was laughing so hard I cried. I happened to look over to the car next to me and the guy was also laughing. We made eye contact..he shook his head threw his arms up and left. CJ wondered whether the Nav was forced upon her or did they ever test it out before they bought it??? Obviously it had never been off road (except the driveway). Anyway, YUK for the day.

Hey, IF she had bought a Navigator insted of Expedition it would have a spet that comes out from under the body. They are the same vehicle but the Gator is about 10 grand moreI had a truck with a lift and 36" tall tire. I took mom for a ride in it. I parked so she could get in from a walk about 8" above the parking lot. She crawled in on the floor and then got in the seat, She then told me "SHE WOULD NEVER RIDE IN MY TRUCK AGAIN" At least this lady was prepared. And from working with so many women that drive these vehicles, ALOT OF TIMES THEY WANT THEM

Still laughing about that one!!! She may have wanted the vehicle, Larry, but c'mon....a stepstool on a rope???? Hmmmmmmmmm soap-on-a-rope........stepstool-on-a-rope...a marketing opportunity? Maybe Ford should pick it up as a truck accessory. lol! This message has been edited by CJ on 07-23-2003 at 09:02 PM

8 miles to the gallon and gas going up. Makes sense to buy the biggest vehicle available and have a booster seat in it. I love that they sit 4 inches from the steering wheel so they can reach the pedals.

Early on, on a new job a few years back, I was just getting to work, and parked on the street in front of the office. Sitting in my car having a last minute smoke, a truck pulled up behind me. I noticed it was a nice truck and all, it sat a little high, but there wasn't anything special about it, except that I saw one of the most gorgeous women sitting behind the wheel. Well, I watched her as she gathered her purse and whatnot. Then the truck door opened, and she... disappeared... About that time I see some legs dangling out the door. Adjusting my mirror and sitting up to get a better look at whatever was going on, this beauty hops down to the ground, shuts the door, and walks into the building. She was just barely tall enough to reach the door handle of the truck on her tip toes. I saw her getting in her truck as I left the building that day. She threw her purse into the truck up on the seat, then jumped up on the floorboard on her stomach and climbed into her truck, and went on her way. I waited for her the next morning. When she got there, I exited my vehicle about the same time she did and timed it so we could walk in together. I told her that she had a nice truck. She said she liked it too. It made her feel tall when she drives it. We both had a good laff over that. She had steering wheel controls for the gas and brakes to be able to drive it. I guess it was all worth it to her... And no, we didn't go out... she was married.
