Dear AlleyCat,

AC - the truth being known - the Carlisle event was a sleeper, not the snoozer kind, but the "I thought the low postings would equal low turnout" kind. Well, we had 20-26 Kats there. Great turnout, and as usual everyone was kind to me - except for Wayne Nicary. I think he's still pissed at me when Hattie (his wife) danced with me at the NJ event and I rebuff his advances for a dance. I might have to rethink that one - he's a BIG guy, kinda like a cross between Lurch (Munsters) and Dracula. You wouldn't want to meet him in a "lighted" alley.

We did have a few newbies. Yes, I said newbies, NOT DOoBIES! For those that don't know what I mean....it's not the band. Myron Hewlitt, Jeff (SirReal) with BettyAnn, Cliff(catwatching) and Donna finally came out to an event. Donna got to cruise to the event in the Orange Kat. AC, we had to stop two times before we got there ( read this as 40 miles of driving). Once for Donna to check her underwear for "excitement level". The second time for the dental floss "perma-grin" thing. I'm still amazed how jazzed someone gets in these Kats!

The only disappointment we had was a washout on the drive-in. Rain, later in the afternoon sort of dampened things, coupled with the stellar showing of the cartoon version of "Sinbad" and RebelBob's favorite movie "Legally Blond II" put this one on hold till next year.

Well - AC - you missed another one.

BTW - I get the parts you requested from the Smokies event, preferably from Ed's Kat.

Your pal - MeanGene

Hey you missed it! George was following you to the drive-in. He came back to go with us to the car show in York PA. Those you listed as new you have to add to your list Jim Reece (who took first place at the Nationals) and two younsters who I didn't get there name from NJ. Should have stayed till Sunday. You could have seen Lucy and I (Carol Silsby) take Second Place. And our cheering section George,Bob,Bill Wayne and Hattie. We were so proud this one's for the girl's of POA. Larry and Brenda had to leave early but they were there in the morning. After the event we watched as the packed up all the concept cars and drive away. Those of us that stayed went to eat and enjoy learning even more about the friend we've made. I have never met a nicer group of people. They have become more like family then friends and I can't wait till the next time we meet.

AC- I am sure sorry that Gene painted such a bad picture of me.I tried the whole time we were in Carlisle to be nice to him. I definately am not angry that he danced with Hattie. Niteman and RebelBob can attest to that. It really gave me a break.

I wish that Gene would get the story straight for you also. He has a problem showing up for these things on time, and then trys to blame the other person. He was late meeting SirReal, Catwatching, Myron and the others, which in-turn made them late for the event. SirReal had to return on Sunday to see what the show was all about because they arrived so late. Also this was one show that he couldn't buy off the judges or stuff the ballot box.

As PTY KITY stated, it was a great show. If you ever find you way east, you should look try and make one of the Carlisle events or any of the East Coast Posse events.

Hey Gene, did you see George and his 300M? He posts here as SteelBlue. He mentioned he met you and saw some of the Prowler group. His M sounds like it's one heck of a car.

Marc,

Met George, very knowledgable about the NOS setup - one mean-looking machine. When he gets that working(close, very close), it looks to be a 300M rocket on wheels. A loose estimate is 300+ HP and still retaining a stock apperance - Talk about a sleeper car!
