Sandy and I were driving in Aurora, IN tonight and saw a Purple cat. We got him to pull over and it is the guy who bought it new in 99 and I have seen his daughter driving it once in awhile. He is probably the first Cincinnati owner. I will add him to the email list. His name is Jay Erdman. It was within a block of where we flagged down the Asmans last year.
While talking to Jay he said there goes a Yellow cat. The guy didn't stop but after we were done talking to Jay, I turned around and went into Aurora's downtown and found the cat. He was in the Eagles Hall and I talked to him but he is not interested in getting involved. His name is Danny Skinner and he also has a 99.
What is the chances of finding two new owners in the same day while 30 miles from home.

Ed--getting involved in what? Getting online and checking out the site? I know a guy who has had corvettes all his life, he didn't join a local corvette club because he said he went to one meeting and they expected him to help out at some of their charity events during the year. He said no way! I couldn't believe his attitude. Don't have fun with fellow car owners because you might have to do some work? It takes all kinds i guess. I would have done the same thing as you if i spotted a kat in my area. CTP

CTP, some people just are not sociable, not that they are not nice people, they just don't feel comfortable in a strange or new environment or don't like meeting new people. I don't have a problem with that. They are missing out on a lot of fun, but to them it would not be fun.
When I first got the Prowler, I had absolutely no intention of ever going to a car show or an event. After getting on the POA and "meeting" the cast of characters here, I liked what I read and saw and we went to the Grand Canyon event. The car changed my lifestyle quite a bit and it has certainly expanded our circle of friends. Now we try to make it to most every event.
If someone does not want to "join" they would probably be uncomfortable and not have fun and therefore they would not add a whole lot to the mix. To each their own.
