A couple of our folks are reporting getting emails with an attachment on it and only one short message. It hasn't caught any of us but, I know several folks in here don't have anti-virus software or firewalls. The title of these emails so far has either been 1) Re: Application 2) Re: Movie (expect other titles) All, so far, make it look like they are responding to something you emailed out. The message only says something like, "Unzip this file and review". Attached is a zip file of various names. It's a replicating virus so if you don't have anti-virus software or a firewall to block it, Don't OPEN it. If you do, you shouldn't be getting it but, if you have hotmail or yahoo or other generic emails, you may get it there. In any event, if you get an email with only an attachement from someone you don't know, save yourself the trouble and just delete it.

I got it. Application was the subject. Norton caught it, couldnt repair it, and quarentined it. Have had the same virus sent to same email address about 6 months or less ago. Caught it then too.------------------ Mickey 1997 Plymouth Prowler #156 Mopar front splash guards Real Rod stainless steel transmission cooler cover 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE Longhorn scratches Boomerschlobber

Bringing back up - I got this virus again later that day and yet once again a couple days later. The last time the subject was movies. After the last attack I couldn't get into my inbox in email til I rebooted. The email stayed on the server and I couldn't download any more emails without getting it again and had to call my ISP to ask them to take it off their server. Each time Norton caught it. Be cautious out there. This thing is floating around quite alot appearantly.------------------ Mickey 1997 Plymouth Prowler #156 Mopar front splash guards Real Rod stainless steel transmission cooler cover 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE Longhorn scratches Boomerschlobber

I did not open mine and apparently I still got it. There is supposed to be a big hit on Sunday, also.

Actually the Sunday "event" is a hacker challenge. So virus replication probably won't be up,but sites may be down. Classic case of too much free time on someones hands!
