I am forwarding this message on behalf of a friend. Many of you in the DFW area probably know or know of Kingman Hitz. He is a member of the Viper Club of America, North Texas. :::: My open car trailer was stolen from the driveway behind my home, sometime between 10am and 5pm today (June 17th). Please keep your eyes open and I would appreciate the additional dissemination of this information to other car clubs by those of you who may also belong to these other groups. Front and rear pictures are attached. Texas plate number 86XGPK. This has been reported to the Plano, TX police department, but you should call a local department if spotted. Thanks. Kingman Hitz
:::: In case you can't read that text, it says GreatBrakes.com on the trailer. Since we have a specialty car, this may show up for sale in places we frequent. Or you may just see it on the street. Anyway, just wanted to pass it along so we can keep an eye out, perhaps two. Thanks. ------------------ 1999 Black w/NeoBlue Streetglow Gold Series This message has been edited by tomdenise1 on 06-19-2003 at 10:29 PM |

I'll keep my eyes open for that trailer as well...I can't believe someone would steal that and hope to hide it and then eventually use it...the fact that we are a national club may help in finding this trailer.. |

We will be travelling up the California coast and then over to Nevada and up into Utah this weekend (and then back). I will keep an eye out in case they came out this way. That completely sucks that someone would do that. There isn't too many things that trailer could be used for... how do they think they could get away with it. Are there any other identifying marks in case they repaint it? ------------------ |

I'll keep my eyes open around the backs of some of the cornfields here. Never know where it might be hiding. |

We will watch for it in Georgia. I doubt it will look the same for long if it has not already been changed in appearence. |

Texas has had a lot of trailer thefts recently, especially around this area. I know of a couple cases we are working here, and believe me, it's a pretty big business. I'm going to print this out and pass it to our Criminal Investigation Division. It just may by chance relate to one they are working on now, as we're not too far apart. We were successful in some recoveries in the last set stolen, so we'll see if something comes up. ------------------ |

Go check on EBay every day to see if the creep posts your trailer for sale there. |

quote: TLR: There has been alot of trailers stolen here as well. Ken keeps all of our trailers locked with tongue locks and chained together by the wheels - at least it might slow them down in getting one of them. Last year they lost a huge heavy equipment trailer at one of the sites for Ken's company. There was a crane nearby so they brought the crane over and lifted this huge trailer right up and over the fence surround the project and then loaded up the front end loader while they were at it and took off - apparently the same guys hit several other places that night in Plano and North Texas. I think a lot of them are turning up in Ky and TN with shacks built on them. They are then mobile homes. No kidding. Sorry Marty, Blubyu, Gary Archer, et al. |

Thanks everyone. The only real identifying mark on it is the GreatBrakes.com text. But I talked with Kingman on Saturday and it was vinyl lettering not paint. So it is easily removable. He feels confident that it will be found shortly with as much response as he has gotten from his postings. I hope he's right. t ------------------ 1999 Black w/NeoBlue Streetglow Gold Series |
