Just thought it might be of interest to all of you to hear a little about one of our members/Prowler owners who is currently serving in Iraq. For those of you who don't know him, his name is Jim Bruckart, MD (TriJim on the board) and is also a Colonel in the U.S. Army. He and his family are stationed at Ft. Hood in Texas.

Jim is just finishing his command time in Iraq and is due back sometime in July. He will be getting some leave time and is planning on making a trip to Michigan to visit the CAAP plant and the Museum. I am hoping to get some Michigan Prowler owners together to meet Jim and his wife Linda for dinner and a night cruise in our area.

In the course of our email conversations, he sent me a link to some very interesting pictures that he posted on the Viper site (he owns a Viper also). I thought that everyone here might like to see the pictures and he gave me permission to post the link.

I'd made a comment back to him about one of the pictures which was a very interesting arch and he relayed some info about the picture:

"The swords are interesting. Saddam had his hand and arm cast in plaster for the sculptor so the hand on the sword is Saddam’s. There are mesh bags filled with green helmets from Iranian soldiers. The helmets are embedded in the street so the Iraqi soldiers are symbolically trampling on their enemy’s heads as they pass the memorial. I thought you might enjoy the Prowler. I brought the diecast with me and had fun with it when we briefed our convoy procedures."

On more of a personal note, I'd like to thank Jim for the job he is doing to take care of our troops, and to let him know that I support all our military personnel during this most difficult campaign. Have a safe trip home Jim and we are looking forward to meeting you and showing you around Michigan!!
