Anyone know how many Crossfires DC plans to build for 2004?

Consider the genetics: sheetmetal conceived in Auburn Hills, Michigan; hardware conceived in Stuttgart, Germany; gestation and birth courtesy of limited-production specialist Karmann in Osnabrück, Germany. Limited in this case means 20,000 units per annum, some 17,000 of them destined for North America. The numbers are calculated to preserve a measure of exclusivity and also recognize the realities of the marketplace.

They are not shipping them to Canada until late September.Bummer!
How many they will produce-I hear mixed reports on that, don't really know which is correct(CJ can probably tell us).

Saw a white one in the showroom today...

The estimated MPG for the one here in CA was 17 city and 21 on the highway...I wonder why the difference?

It had a dealer mark-up of only $9,995, what a deal.

Chris: Dropped off our prowler tonight for the ball joint recall and stopped in the showroom to take a look. Very nice!! $35k with a $10k markup and a "Do not Touch" sign. Very very sharp though!! Beautiful Black! Tami

Chris: Didn't see it - but didn't look in the service bays. Nick met me as soon as I pulled in - handed him the keys and went in to look at the Cross Fire - sorry about that. Do you have Neal's direct dial number? If not e-mail me and I'll give it to you. I'll check on yours tonight when I pick mine back up. Tami

Not a problem - you certainly aren't the first and I'm sure won't be the last Just got off the phone with Neal - ours is ready - no problems. Asked him the status of your kat and he said the part just came in today. He won't get a chance to get back to working on yours though until Monday - should be ready on Tuesday.

Hey Chris: I checked on your kat when I was there - Neal has her up in the air on the rack in his bay so no one can get to her with both front rims off and on the ground. Nick said you need to make sure and talk to either Neal or him about the wiring to your neons back by the tires - apparently they found a place where the wires are rubbing on the tires and you need to get it taken care of before you get a short. Jamie said she'd pick up the kat for you on Tuesday and leave her PT as trade!! Have fun with it! Ed says they are real fast!! Tami

As PT Barnum said, there's a sucker born every minute. For $45,770 (sticker price) you can buy a Mercedes SLK 320. Same engine, same trans, and a folding hardtop. Why would someone pay $35,000 plus $10,000 mark up for a Crossfire? I like the Crossfire, but I think I'll wait until reality sets in with the dealers. It will look great next to the Cat and the Viper.
