Tonight while trying to get trailer checked out and ready for trip to Niagra, I noticed that the bolt on one of the leaf spring shackle was loose. Further investigation one nut was missing.

I sure feel lucky that I was checking the tire pressure and lug nut torque or I might have missed this.

I could have lost the bolt or broke it and then who knows what might have happened.

I would suggest everyone trailering any car to check the lug nuts (yes mine were loose and I checked them before the last long trip) check your air pressure (one tire about 10psi lower than the others) and check your bolts on the axles

I hope I do not have any problems tomorrow
