Now that is the prototype Crossfire that I liked. The production one seems to be not as radical looking:

...also liked the Crossfire concept, wanted one.....the change in the headlamps, losing the sharp edges on the fenders and the split windshield disappearing were the difference between something great, and just another commuter car... lost my interest...the concept picture is a really good looking car........

Yeah, if they would have kept with the concept, I would have been more interested. The production version just doesn't have it.

Doesn't it seem like a few models have the Bentley-Bugatti theme in the front( Crossfire,Chrysler 300...)

Why don't manufacturers try to differeniate themselves from one another rather then following the herd?

The concept was unique and would have had a following and probably be collectible at some point.

The actual model, while not bad, looks alot like anything else out there. (also like a shorter stubbier Pacifica)

Remove the Chrysler badge and replace it with an Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, or Acura badge, and most would not argue with you............

Are they selling them for sticker, discounting them (like most cars), or asking a premium since it is something new?

I suspect the later till sales dictate what they should do.

2 local dealers have each received a Black, automatic, solid color (black) interior. Not that the General Sales Managers know very much...but I was told by the one that I am contemplating purchasing the Crossfire from that they will receive 10 for the rest of this year. He thought that the next color to be received would either be Red or Silver and that out of the 10 he would receive all of the colors and both transmissions. I personally am only interested in a stick shift and the 2 tone interior. We have yet to discuss price although he is aware that I will not pay over sticker..so once a car arrives that fits the bill the fun will start..until then...there is nothing to discuss!

Sorry about the pics gang. I called the dealer B4 going there as they are an hour away. Was told that the car was on their showroom floor ready for pictures. When I got there it was NOT on the floor and they would not let me go back to take pictures of it. I saw it Monday but didn't have my camera. The dealer owner told me yesterday when I was there that it was getting washed and I could go back and take pics. I looked in every bay and it was nowhere to be found. (I noted a Mullholland that had been sitting out back for past 3 days tho...) The Crossfire they have was supposedly already sold, but for how much I don't know. It was silver in color. It looked like Andy R's picture. The interior was one tone, as I recall and I think that the center console was a little different than in CJ's pic, but looked pretty nice. It was standard transmission. In order to go into reverse, you have to GENTLY pull up on the shift knob. The salesman that was driving it around the dealership got in, pulled up on the shifter, and the whole thing, from the knob to the cape, came off. I just laffed... I guess its made pretty cheaply. I'll look to see if another dealer closer to me has one I can get pics of for ya'll.

CTProwler - LOL. I wondered if anyone would notice that. We went to a drive thru zoo one day and were surrounded by longhorn steers. The one to the rear decided to rake his horns on the back end of the van. I had one up front preventing me from going anywhere, and one at the window getting fed. Boomerschlobber was my rottie, Boomer for short. I always said that if I could bottle his drool, I could get rich. That stuff would take anything off of anything. LOL. He loved riding along, and between his shedding and slobber, he's still with the van. Thanks for noticing and asking tho.
