Has to be Mr. Ed,,,,,,,,,,,,,TUIB is out of parking space, lol.

Mr. Ed finishes a big bowl of Hoosier grits at the Highway 77 restaurant, and the problem started. Something was in the grits that made his butt feel itchy, and he needed a warm, leather seat to scratch his butt in. TUIB would take him no further than the Chevy showroom,,,,and the yellow Vette was his.

Nice selection

his other Corvette, a 2000 convertible, had lost a little of it's punch.... this new Yelo one will allow us to get to the Diner while the fried chicken and grits are still steamin' hot

the old Vette...

I keep thinking of the line from the 50's, "Cookie, Cookie, lend me your car"
It was really "Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb" for you kids.

Simon - I don't believe Mr. Ed is going for a color change on this ride,,,,,,,besides, he lost his painter, WideRoller Doug, after complaining about the job when his Dodge K car came out three shades different than planned, lol.

yep, old "Wide Roller" got some of the pastel Fuscia on the wood grain side panels of Mr. Eds K-car and Mr. Ed got pizzed....he put a rear hoof print right on the quarter panel.....

...the Vette is currently being sized up for wood side trim...Mr. Ed has already cut down a tree in his yard for the wood......

"...the Vette is currently being sized up for wood side trim..."

Wow,,,,,that should look fabulous! Kindof a Country Squire look on the Vette!! When done,,,,bet Mr. Ed will have his own reserved parking spot down at the Highway 77 Diner,,,right at the front door, to show off his new creation. Doesn't WideRoller have a reserved spot in the rear, next to the dumpster?

Can we ask? What type of tree is he using? Hope the local New Castle environmentalist tree huggers don't come down on him for this

thats why it's posted in the OFF TOPIC section kid !!!...

MR. Ed worked at Chrysler 37 years, he has a Prowler, he just sold a Viper, he owns several buildings full of vintage MOPAR Muscle, he has attended several Prowler events and is a POA supporter...but, he didn't post the article, I did...

....I am a POA supporter, Prowler owner and MOPAR enthusiast from way back...there are many kinds of cars talked about on the forum and sold in the classifieds, it's a big world out there kid...maybe in my small town way of thinking, a new Vette is still a pretty classy car and I thought some members might enjoy a change of pace...

you are right about one point, they don't compare....the Vette is a world class sports car...

sorry I wasted your time with a non Prowler piece of news, I'll watch it a little closer from now on...

Larry: I've been a Corvette lover for years. Still would have another, just not right now, but definitely again. Have the Prowler, plan on keeping it and someday having another Vette, but as far as you congratulating someone on their new ride - you go right ahead!!! T

I like the new C6s. We see a lot of them here since they are built in Kentucky. One of our cruises during the Louisville event will be to the Corvette plant and museum. For those not interested, we'll have an alternative - a tour at Mammoth Cave, only a few miles from the Corvette plant.

Tangled: You have my permission to post and picture any and all car items that Ed and you have. You car knowledge is of learning interest to me and I hope others. I have owned a few Corvettes in my day and I know you remember the purple one that I had to put the plaid jacket on to sell. All the grief that followed that post but kept it at the top till it sold not that my permission means anything... P.O.A. is a great knowledge source on more than just the assume Prowler.

Way to go TUIB ,,,,,, you answered that question with class! You being a POA website supporter, helps provide this site the ability to keep going forward every year. Go ahead,,,,post all the Corvette and Viper pictures you like. Heaven knows I post all the pictures of the junk cars that Ed has owned over the years, and they don't compare to anything, lol.

TUIB,
I agree w/other brother Larry 110%...I enjoy ALL your posts--of cars or whatever. It'd be a pretty dull site if ALL that was ever discussed were Prowlers. As you say, it's a pretty big world out there kid~LOL. And the older we get, the more we realize we don't know--and never will. After I got my Master's Degree at University, I asked my PhD advisor [of many years] if he still felt like a dumba$$ even having his PhD--to which he earnestly replied, "Every Day!!" At 17 I was a genius...ever since then I've been losing ground, almost to the point [and some wouldn't say 'almost'] of being a Complete Idiot! And I can always but always learn something from every person I ever have or ever will meet! Rock On, TUIB...Rock On, my friend!

Thanks for posting, I like it!, Im getting a Monterey Red Vert Black top, I was thinking of getting that Yellow, It was a hard to choose! My wife had back surgery last Oct. She has 4 in. screws and a cage. Had to sell the Prowler, ride was to hard for her.
