WTF was that ?

That Neville dude must have been the MOST embarassing
character singing the anthem since Roseanne !

WHERE's LeAnn Rimes or Faith Hill when you need them ?

I didn't think Aretha was anything to brag about.
I thought the Rolling Stones would be followed by a Nutragena commercial. If I saw Keith Richards sitting on a stoop I would offer him a couple of bucks figuring he was a bum. Sandy said if he had a face lift he would be bald after they pulled the skin tight enough.

and what was that "OLD MAN" doing at the half time show.... damn I know it is the Rolling Stones but ..Pleeeeease can they not find a band that has some original sounds. Not that " I can't get no satisfaction" crap again... I remember getting that LP when I was 10 for crying out loud ... at least last year we got to see some of old "JANET" shame on the Super Bowl. surely they can do a better job with all the talent there is ..... LOL I don't know ... What ever ..

Geno - maybe the Black Eyede Peas singing "My Humps" would have been better?

Anthem was awful!

Stones weren't bad. How they did the stage was pretty cool.

ABC instituted a 5 second delay for the entire pre game thru post game broadcast and hit the edit button twice for the Stones. Since non of the 70,000 at Ford Field turned to salt I guess we as tv viewers probably would have survived it. Man I am tired of people looking out for me!

Entertainment alternative, Motown review mixed with a rock and roll segment including Bob Seger, Rare Earth, Mitch Ryder, Grand Funk, Nugent and a endless list of home grown talent! Could also add a contemporary twist with Eminem, Kid Rock and some other locals.

Early on I thought it was more a matter of who not to invite from that list. A 3 day around the clock concert could have been developed with Michigan/Motown Talent without repeating a song.

The anthem was pretty bad. The guy sounded as if somebody chopped his b...s off !!!! That was just horrible ! I don't think Aretha was much better - a little maybe. Why can't they just sing the anthem and not do all the whining and crying ? He sounded like our cat did before we had her fixed !
The Stones - yeah well - same old, same old - I wasn't impressed.
Commercials were great !

Actually they hit the edit button 3 times but I seem to be the only one to have caught the 3rd time. I missed the recognised 2, but I caught it when they cut out the word cigarettes when singing the phrase, "... same cigarettes as me". Kinda rediculous I think.

Mike:

I think there is an approx. 5 second delay for all games.

I went to the Panthers game in Chicago and talked to my son 4 times during the game by cell phone. He said the delay was 5 seconds from real time to broadcast TV time.

I have also listened to games on the radio while watching on TV. It appeared to me to be about 3 to 5 seconds then too.
