My wife's niece is the latest to become a war widow
thanks to the war in Irag. See following link:

As the proud father of a career Army enlistee (16 years) , I continue to worry about my son as well as the son's & daughters of others. I don't agree with many of Pres. Bush's positions, but he IS the Commander in Chief. My son respects him, & I damn sure respect my son. As we continue to lose our own in the land of total madness, the very best we can pray for is some sense of common sense & moral decency begin to set in. May the Good Lord continue to watch over each & every member of our Armed Forces.

Ed - I'm truly sorry about this tragic loss to your family, and in particular his wife and that 15 month old daughter he leaves behind.

Ed......our sincerest condolences to you and your entire family. As the mother with a military son, I truly understand. These soldiers are to be honored for the greatest sacrifice a person can make.

Ed, sorry to hear off the tragic loss. It is a total shame but it has to be done to keep them away from us.

I am so sad for your loss. Any loss is unbearable.

There are losses over there (that is why they call it a war) but, the media never points out all the good being done. They only focus on a few misguided souls that in the name of "their" God feel justified walking into a crowd of women and children and blowing themselves up. Funny, you never hear the outcry of the innocents where that is concerned.

Folks have differing views of the war but, you have to remember, we didn't start this. And I honestly believe if not fighting it over there, we'd continue to have more 9-11's or worse.

These guys (that remain) are scattered, running scared, and know if they so much as raise their head out of a spider hole, we send in the drones.

Again, I hate any loss but, look at it this way, your wife's niece is a hero that saved untold thousands from their fate over here.

You all are in our prayers.

Our prayers go out to your family.

His courage to serve and place his life on the line is to be praised and honored.

Too many in this country do not appreciate the sacrifice and commitment these brave men and women do for them.

God bless them all.
