Go Panthers! We are down to our 3rd string runningback, have 8 players on the "Questionable" list due to injuries and are on the road for the fifth straight week, but are battle hardened and well coached, so we'll see. May the best teams win! I just hope Carolina is one of the two winners.

I'm being neutral this weekend,,,,,,my pick, the Colts headed home last week. My first half observation: Jake "the Flake and groper" [I may eat those words, lol] shows his weakness = 17 straight games with a lost fumble,,,, and one critical interception in the first half when they needed to drive for TD. If the Steelers score 10 points in the second half,,,,they are on their way to the Super Bowl. I hope Denver can get back in it, and make a game of it,,,,,,I enjoy high scoring games!

Wow,,,,,,three hours after the game and this thread hasn't had another post Maybe all the Bronco fans went to HomeDepot to buy a rope to hang themselves? Hey,,,nothing to be down about,,,they had a great season. Now that Carolina - Seattle game really stunk. Carolina looked liked the Cardinals playing. Was it all the injuries, or just met a better team?
As of now,,,,I'll have to pick the Steelers to win it all.

No, A/C.......just haven't been on line since before the game. Well, maybe next year....it's a shame for the Bronco fans, but I don't think anyone but Rod Smith showed up. They just weren't playing their game......they're much better than that...otherwise they wouldn't have made it this far. In spite of your feelings......it wasn't just Jake. The whole team just didn't do it. At least we made it this far!! Good luck to the Steelers....at least the AFC will win? ------------------ CJ - The One and Only 1999 Black - PPROWLR 2002 Deep Candy Red - CJPROWLN Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course!

Big Ben R. went to Miami U just up the road. Shaun Alexander went to high school about 4 miles south of Cincy in N. KY. Lots of local ties but no Bengals. The Steelers looked like they weren't even going to make the playoffs and now they are playing like a team possessed. They will be tough to beat.

That depends... will you adopt me? I have to say, it's been good being a Steeler fan since Turnover Tommy was finally shown the bench. The only thing worse than the Maddox era was the Cliff Stout era (or am I showing my age?). -Dan PS. I think all the credit should go to Chromer for his "Steeler Edition" Prowler.

AC- Yeah the Seattle game did stink. I think it was a combination of a good Seattle team playing at their best and the Panthers playing the worse game I've ever seen them play. I thought it would be tough for the Panthers with all of the injuries, but across the board they just looked awful.Good luck to the Seahawks!

Randy - thanks for the input,,,,,your team just didn't look like they were ready for such a huge game. Injuries and weak depth at positions, is a situation you don't want to be in at playoff time. They made it to the final four,,so that proves that for most of the season they were playing upbeat ball CJ - growing up in football hungry Nebraska, the Chiefs and Broncos were/are the teams I always pulled for. "In spite of your feelings......it wasn't just Jake. The whole team just didn't do it." It wasn't the whole team that lost two fumbles and threw two interceptions. On the battle grounds, it's the field general who directs the troops. I seen Jake during his four years here at ASU and six years as a Cardinal, and my thoughts haven't changed,,,he is a loser. He's 32 yrs old now, and maybe three years left on his body to play. He may still yet get the Broncos to a Super Bowl, but as their field general,,,,,they'll never win it.

I think that not only is Jake crappy but so is the coach....Why is it never the "coaches" fault? I thought that is why they are there or is it just to give them Millions of $$$$ for their good looks (in Mikes case ... his bad teeth) Why why why

I have to agree with AC on this one. I understood why Plummer started in Arizona, being a hometown hero and all. However, I never understood why Denver got rid of Griese and picked Plummer up. Until Maddox started a game, I thought Plummer was the worst starting QB in the NFL.XTC, it is quite often the coach’s fault. Super Bowl XXXVII’s loss was primarily the fault of Callahan taking someone else’s team to the Super Bowl and not knowing how to coach. Same thing could be said of Super Bowl XXXVI. Personally, I think Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL. However, it’ll be interesting to see how much of that genius has been Kubiak, now that Kubiak is heading to Texas. Speaking of which, I hope Pittsburgh can keep their coordinators for more than 2 years this time before some other teams pick them up. quote: Originally posted by IM IN XTC: o by the way Jake ... get a haircut dude that hair went out with the 80's

In spite of Jake's mistakes, there were quite a few great throws that just plain should have been caught and weren't. Not only that, but the defense nor the rest of the offense just was NOT playing with the intensity that we've had all year....don't know why...can't explain it. They win as a team and lose as a team. In spite of everything, Jake has actually had a really good year this year......the whole team has.I think Shanahan is an awesome coach. I'm very disappointed to see Gary Kubiak leave......he's been talking about being a head coach for some time now. Who knows, maybe he will decide he doesn't like it and come back. Brian Griese, while the darling of U of M........was NEVER the quarterback he was supposed to be. He was a loner, not a leader and very self absorbed from what I saw. He wasn't great with the Broncos and as far as I know.....still isn't. JMHO...

Oh, yeah.........Jake may not be the only one who needs a haircut.......what about that guy on the Steelers team??? He's lucky they don't grab his hair. He's a great player, but come on.........how does he fit all that hair under his helmet?
