NBC is covering the show as I post this.

They did a great segment on DC and the Challenger.

Chromer - They showed your red 300C on the show. The interior was not a bright white and not a tan, it was kind of an off white. I had a darker shade dash/console ; maybe graphite or black. The red is a true bright red. No orange tint in it. The red is ultra sharp!

Hi Randy..

Yes..by chance I just happened to hear it coming on and taped the Heritage C Segment. Wow..the car really POPS! You're right..it is a kind of off or bone white interior? (love it) Yes..it looked like a "pure" red and I hope it is? I showed the video to Mrs. Chromer and she went GAH GAH over the color and the ALL CHROME grill. Got to keep her happy...she's getting concerned that I'm buying the car for me ( ) and that it is too big for her needs...

Hi Chromer!

Thanks for the post on the 300C Heritage LXCS48. I ordered one a few days ago. I have been looking for a 300C with a great color. I can't hardly wait, but it looks like I will have to for 6 weeks or more.

I like everything about the red exterior and the light two tone gray interior. Got a good deal on one like you did. I would never have known about it if you hadn't posted the info.

Hi Jim...

Way cool that you placed an order for a red Heritage as well. I've been following the 300C forum and just about everything on their 300C improvement wish list has been answered with the Heritage.

The car we ordered has everything (I think) except the moon roof. How about you. Did you go with the Navigation system and the Stage II safety system too? OK..I told everyone I paid $500 over invoice...what deal did you get?

Hi Chromer,

No I didn't get the navigation system nor the safety system. I guess I am a "man". I don't ask directions from anyone or anything. The safety package doesn't seem like anything I would like either. The 300C Heritage Edition comes loaded with all the great stuff I want.

I didn't want to say anything but you asked. I went into my local Chrysler Dealer and the fleet manager just put it on the computer and said it would be $100.00 over invoice. I didn't dicker or argue. I smiled inside and said "order it". It is going to be $34,360, plus $100, less $1,000 if we finance it through Chrysler. We can pay it off as soon as we get the bill. So final cost: $33,460 plus tax and licence.

In California we usually have to pay more than any other state for a car, but this time I got a deal. I think almost everyone who bought a Prowler in Calif paid from $10,000 to $50,000 over invoice.

The dealer agreed that by the time people realize this is available it will be sold out. They are getting only four. He said it will be rarer than a Prowler.

Chromer,

I think we are both lucky guys. We have wives that like the "Prowler" and "Red 300's" and "us". What else could a man ask for??????

Punk and Purp..

Wow!..you really did get a good deal. Congratulations!

Thanks for the information. I didn't know about the Chrysler Finance Credit offer and the $1,000 rebate. I'll look into it with my dealer, thanks for sharing.

The Navigation system sold itself to us when we did the test drive. It was way Cool for compass challeged like my wife and I. The Safety System was a must because it has the rear back up sonar..one tap and the thing has paid for itself?

Have you heard anymore about total production numbers? I understand there will be 5,000 units produced but I'm not sure if that's total or this year? I'm thinking it's total if the dealers are allocated just four Heritage units each in 2006. Not sure how many Chrysler dealers there are?

Chromer,

As far as my fleet manager knows this is it a one time run of 5,000. I am sure there are cynics that will predict that they will make more if they sell as fast as they seem to be selling. But... they are just guessing.

My local fleet manager has been selling Chryslers for more than 30 years and seams to be a straight talker, and very knowledgeable. If they do make more some day, big whoop-de-do. I bet we will live.

Hey Punk-N-Purp..

Remember the posts we had many years ago on the old Prowler Club of America about those "terrible H.I.D. headlights" on the newer cars? Isn't it a twist that these Heritage cars come standard with "those obnoxious headlights" and we'll be the ones "burning the eyes out" of the other light sensitive senior citizens on road

I love the look of the 300C headlamps at night. You guys sure are lucky dogs! You guys can qualify for whatever rebates that are available at the time of delivery.

Last night watched the rerun of the show in HDTV. The only thing that was impressive was the paint/wax on the cars and some of the wheel designs. Would have preferred to see more cars and less test drives.

Sorry to say, we didn't see anything that said "Let's spend some hard earned bucks on that car" or "I wish I had won the lottery, so I could own that car"

I guess we'll just have to live with what we have for another year.

All times are CT (US)
