Yep the old MOPAR guys are smart. They set the market for the cars themselves, and now are reaping the rewards.

Dave Jones had a Blue 70 Hemi cuda when I had my 71 Cuda convertible (383 AT). He wanted the convertible and I would like to have had his hemi, but thought $6,000 for it was TOO MUCH MONEY

Love to watch B/J but also hate it when I see some of the same kind of cars I have had in the past go across the block

I know my cars were drivers and would not bring that kind of money but the potental with a correct restoration.

Harold Sulivan made the statement that after the original investment is made that it cost about the same to restore a 6 cylinder car as a hemi.

WildKat....auction results are puzzling at best....there was a Plum Crazy AAR CUDA, wh/int 4spd, that crossed the block at $210K....you have seen mine....what would it take to make mine a $210K MOPAR, maybe $10K, what if it took $20K to put mine in that condition.....is mine now worth $190K- $200K....I seriously doubt it ... it will make the prices trend higher this year, but I don't know many Trans Am cars that will bring those $$$ anytime soon...

my 1970 Challenger T/A...340 SIX PAK, Pistol Grip 4spd, matching numbers, no body work ever, 50K miles, all original except a repaint in 1983...

now taking offers over $190K

I think alot of those MOPAR Hemi are being bought by alot of baby boomers, I wonder if they will hold there value 10 years from now? I saw alot of mid fifty cars go early in the week for 50k and up, I think that where I would put my money, but that just me.

I think the price of the hemi cars skyrocketed since they re-introduced the Hemi. All the guys between 40 and 60 want one to relive "back in the day". I think prices will drop drastically as these guys get older and the next generation has their own favorites. Model T s are not worth what they were 10 years ago, I don't think.
But I could be wrong.
Thanks goodness for Sandy's income or I would be on food stamps. lol

Today on BJ a couple of cars came thru the line again

One car I forget which one went a lot lower today than yesterday. When someone buys a car there, then doesnt buy it, what happens to them?

I don't know what the specific situation is, but sometimes a buyer will turn around and just want to resell if they think they can make a profit in 24 hours.

Sorry A/C...in my opinion it made me sick. The individuals that are spending this kind of cash unfortunately are driving the collectable car prices so high...the average Joe cannot afford one.JMO

I have heard that a lot of this money is being generated by individuals that have pulled their money from underperforming stocks. Guess they feel that they can make more money for themselves by investing in the collectable car market.

The rest of the guys that have all that coin to blow...I guess they're just plain rich.

I mean is the GM Futurliner really worth $4.1 Million!!! I believe that's what it sold for.

I heard that the guy from Chandler AZ. who bought the Future Liner, also bought the Bonneville... They said the Bonneville would be put on the stage in the Future Liner.

Is it worth 6.8 million?

Obviously it is to the guy in Chandler
