Shelley Winters, the outspoken actress who won Oscars for her work in The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) and A Patch of Blue (1965), has died of heart failure at the age of 85.

Her publicist in California, Dale Olson, said Winters died early Saturday in a Beverly Hills hospital. She had been in hospital since suffering a heart attack in October.

the "Lucid Eye" was taking a flea bath when the demise of Shelley Winters crossed the teletype.....by the time he had dried off, put on his flea powder and his collar, Dave had beat him to the punch...

....trying to save his job, the "Lucid Eye" searched out an obscure obit for "Smokey the Bear"....I'm tellin ya guys, the "EYE" is living on borrowed time...about ready to drop his azz off at the local pound...

I don't think it was the flea bath that caused the Lucid Eye to miss the Shelley Winter scoop,,,,,,,,,it was the fact that the bitcx poodle down the street is in heat. Being like his master, the Lucid Eye daily opens the back door of the palatial Bell estate,,,,sniffs the air for female detection,,,,and acts accordingly. I'm standing up for the Lucid Eye,,,,and I've always said, the wrong one is on the leash, lol.

I must be careful not to offend the Lucid Eye. As I have said before, the Lucid Eye can't be replaced, I am only supporting his efforts.
