Three possibilities:1. "Best" of the Beatles? 2. Michael Jackson owned the rights 3. Yoko Ono's meddling. ??? -GRROWL

You arent talking about the butcher cover again are you? Rarities Album? The butcher cover is recreated inside the album.oops LOL posting simultaneously there... thats gotta be the original butcher cover recall. I thought it took place earlier tho. I knew of it. You can still find them recovered if you are lucky. oops again... that letter was dated 1966. you question speaks to the 80's recall. Was the rarities album recalled as well??? again, reread the clue closely.....songs ABOUT the Beatles, NOT THE BEATLES.....the album was released in 1982 I think, and recalled immediately in the USA due to the album cover art......it has nothing to do with the Beatles 1966 album.....again, this was songs/parodys about the Beatles and NOT the Beatles....

Rhino Records released the album "Beatlesongs", and immediately were informed by fans the cover had a likeness of Mark David Chapman(Lennons assasin) standing next to the banner proclaiming "we love the Beatles" ....the album was banned in the USA and recalled to have another cover installed of Beatle memorabilia...seems to have a pool of blood and Lennons glasses on the right hand bottom, or maybe my imagination is just playing trix on me...This message has been edited by tangled up in BLUE on 01-02-2006 at 10:56 AM
