Is there any general rule or consensus regarding posting the website of a person's employer? In particular having the http address posted in a signature. Its not automotive related.

Well, I work in a retail store and I'd be able to provide awesome prices and/or advice to anyone interested. I didn't know if there was a specific policy that this site had against doing something of that nature. Another car website I'm a member of doesn't let anyone who isn't a paying sponsor do that sort of "advertising."If its ok with everyone, I'll fill in more details. If not, I'll just clam up.
