If a person is convicted, sentenced to death, goes through an automatic appeal, petitions for a stay, is refused a stay by the state supreme court - why should a governor change the sentence?

Execute, whether the people decide to riot or not should not be a factor. The Governor should not second guess the courts.

The Governor should do the right thing and let him go.He has probably learn a valuable lessen and would be a model citizen.I'm sick a tired of them killing innocent people bast on the color of your skin and where you grow up.when will true innocent's live among real men? It is much E Z-er to kill someone you don't know.(so lets all get to know him little better, then decide.

we have several here in Indiana on death row that they were seen doing it and they still get all the appeals and court time costing the taxpayers millions of dollars the state does not have..............I think sometimes the good old days were the GOOD OLD DAYS......They had a platform somewhere around the court house and once the trial was over they got to walk up to it..........PUBLIC INVITED.......now they get most of the time about 12 years from conviction till the final day........which is 11 years 365 days too many.

Many want to die and that is why they run from and shot at the police.

example: guy from around Rockville a few months back shot his wife and 2 stepdaughters.......to chicken to shot himself run, stole gas which caused police to try and stop only for him to run from them and them told them to shoot him. Once caught said his family deserved it

I also think any lawyer that defends a KNOWN criminal to lessen the sentence should get the same sentence..........just my 2 cents

GUESS THEY WILL NEVER PUT ME ON JURY DUTY.

forget the injection let him out and let the family members that lost a love one have him..........see how long he last

I agree. This isn't a game. Everyone should be working to ensure justice takes place, not let's see if we can get a guilty person off scott free. Defense lawyers should be obligated like the rest of us, to tell the truth, otherwise face prosecution.

It costs the tax payer about $100,000 a year to keep sh*t like this on death row, lets spend the money on helping the schools educate people about what gangs are and try to help these kids out of poverty.
We need a change in our justice system. There should be 3 verdicts.
1) Not Guilty. 2) Guilty with a reasonable doubt.
3) Guilty with out any dought by all twelve jurors. for #2 verdicts they could be allowed to have a second trial before being sent to prison. For the #3 verdicts just take them out and hang the bastards.

YES, execute.

For punishment to Williams and as as to a deterrent for others.

There simply must be a way to handle no doubt capital situations like this one in a more expeditious manner. There was a man executed here in NC last week who had been on death row 18 years, much like Williams.

Should have done away with him long ago.I hear on local news how he wrote children book well what the hell else did he have to do since he wasn't going to work.It really bugs me after a jury and judge do thier jobs a Gov.can over ride there choice, why have jurys if its not to stick and why wait 20+ years to do it.I wonder if he remembers making fun of sounds the people make he shot in back. One more thing Jessie Jackison should be on table beside him if he loves him so much.Enough said,Happy Holidays to all
