I will never forget that day Larry... I started to think Texas did not want me around.

Here is some video footage from my Texas Stampede 2004 DVD of that eventful day.

This portion of video footage is no longer available on my current Texas Stampede 2004 DVD. It was only offered on the original copies sent out when first offered.

Ed/Dan - was that just rain? I thought we survived a category 4 hurricane for a couple of days there, lol. That return drive from the museum in Houston back to Austin, was the worst downpour, wind, and hail that I've ever driven through :yikes: We did have fun, despite some inclement, maritime weather conditions.

Thanks for the MEMORIES Dan.

KY-Jelly - The pounding rain was the small part,,,,it was the hail and thousands of bolts of lightning hitting the ground all around us,,,that got our attention. The roads had four inches of water on top,,,,,,brought a new meaning to hydroplaning.

Next time there is a tornado and hail storm in 'Bama,,,,be sure to get the Elf's cat out of the barn for a top down drive!! NO? I thought so,,,no more grapefruits hanging between your legs,,,,,,Ya got old on us,,a true PIKER, lol.

Perhaps, O' Dark Narrow Street Pu$$y ...

But hydroplaning on 4 wheels is less heart-throbbing than 2 wheels hydroplaning ~ wowie!

Sounds to me like Alley the cat needs to toughen up a bit.If your going to drive in Texas you need to be as crazy as they are.(A little Hydroplaning is just fun)

Yes - the weather could have ben better but we all had a fabulous time in Texas.

For our 2006 Louisville event I will predict we will either NOT break the Texas Stampede record for rain (or I will dissapear and Gary and Kelly Archer can take the blame for the wet stuff!) :

Ty-K, I was coming home a couple of weeks ago and it started to drizzle, came areound a hair pin turn on an uphill and the back wheel hit the painted yellow line. All of a sudden the rear wheel was next to me. Yikes, that is a bad feeling.
