these were all over the midwest during the 50s and 60s.....were they nationwide ???

I remember them and my dad would read them as we drove by them in our 54 Ford. I used to get the shave cream and the country mixed up! |

There are still some on one of the roads through Missouri - I think it's 44, but can't remember for sure. I know I've seen them as late as last year. They may not have been original, but they were sure cool to see!! T |

Boy Larry, you are OLDER than I thought!! Seen some down around Jefferson City the other day on old 50 Highway. There is also some on old highway 36 close to the JC Penney Farm at Hamilton, Missouri. AC doesn't remember them....he was still peeing in his britches back then!! |

YES,Yes,yes,,,,,,,,,,,,,I remember them all over the Midwest. We'd head out on vacation in the family '53 Plymouth Cranbrook [dark brown roof over creme], and my brother and I couldn't wait to find the Burma Shave signs. MEMORIES I believe most of the Burma Shave signs were replaced by the signs that tell you how far it is to WALL DRUG in South Dakota, lol. |
