as they come to mind, no particular order....not even the best movies perhaps, they just had an impact on me for one reason or another

Summer of 42...Witchata Falls Texas....day pass from Sheppard Air Force Base....still a great movie...Jennifer Oneil was HOT HOT HOT ...

Cool Hand Luke...teen drive in movie date, drivin the GTO, Luke was just too cool...

American Grafitti...San Antonio Texas, Deb and I were still in the USAF....drove the new 73 CUDA to the show and had mechanical problems, that car was a mechanical a$$hole from day 1 till I sold it a couple of years later...when that movie was made, it went back in time 10 years, now it has been over 30 years since the movie was made...

MASH...saw it just before going in the military...

Graduate...teen date movie, probably the sound track and Katherine Ross....I was dating a girl that everyone said looked like Ms. Ross(she dumped me)

Apacolypse Now...took the afternoon off from work so I could watch it with very little crowd in the theatre, sat thru it twice...

Thunder Road...watched Robert Mitchum get killed every Saturday night....it seems like it was on that often...thanx to Tytanium, I have another copy....probably have seen this movie more than any other movie in my life...

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...date movie with a really hot young lady....eventually, couldn't afford the gas money to continue the relationship She lived 50 miles away, my car got about 7MPG and I was makin about $3. per hour...great movie...

House On Haunted Hill-1959 or so...the original with Vincent Price....still extremely scary today....

Pulp Fiction...something about this flik that fascinates me.....

Easy Rider...I went looking for America, and found basic training....

Animal House...one of the best movies ever, Belushi at his finest...

Blues Brothers...another saga in stupidity.....good times...

Bullit...have seen this nearly as many times as Thunder Road....Sheryl Crow video of "Steve McQueen" is a favorite...

GREAT LIST! I've seen them all. I would add CATCH-22, Brando's last Tango in Paris, On The Waterfront, The Godfather and Taxi Driver with Deniro.

The Sting.....how could I forget that one....Redford and Paul Newman again....a favorite....saw it recently for the first time in 20 years or so....

Godfather....another one of my favorites...I stood in line at a small theatre in Taichung, Taiwan to see that show....the line went on for blocks...English with Chinese subtitles....I think Debbie and I were the only two in the theatre that understood what the movie was about...

if only SHE could see you now, eh!

great lists, gotta think on this one ... most of the above, and there are quite a few 'newer' movies that also deserve credits....

anything/everything Quentin Tarantino does....
Pi ..
The Sixth Sense ..
The Fifth Element ..
Seven ..
Fight Club ..
Frequency ..
Lord of the Rings (series) ..
The Commitments ..
Back to the future (series) ..
Blazing Saddles (prob one of the best comedies ever made)..
Silver Streak ..
Stir Crazy ..
(all Gene Wilder's probably)
Cat People ..
Great Escape ..
The Shining ..
One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest ..
Gone in 60 seconds ..
Three Amigos ..
Stand by Me ..
M I B ..
Finding Nemo and Toy Story (laugh all ya want)..

not necessarily classics, by any means, but lock me up for a month with them, and I'd come out okay ... or at least no worse for the wear

My favorite movie was "Queen of the Stardust Ballroom." It's an old movie set in the 50's. It's about a middle-aged widow who decides to stop grieving over the loss of her husband and to begin dating again. Her grown children have a difficult time adjusting to her decision to date.

Also, Ben Hur

Rainman.... falls right near the top of the list also

speaking of Ms. Ross......have you seen her lately, like 40 miles of bad road...

WHAT NO.............Wizard of OZ?

That is a GREAT MOVIE. I watched it a few weeks ago and it is still a good movie. I use to watch it every year. To think it was made in 1939, a movie ahead of it's time.

I like all the old movies with cars in them. It is so cool to see some of the cars in the background.

Oh and since X mas is coming It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie.

I've seen Parent Trap probably more than any other movie ever made. It was my daughter and neice favorite movie and is was in the vcr all the time. They knew it word for word. Not saying it was my favorite just seen it alot

It's a Mad, Mad World was pretty funny in spots. A lot of sight gags and stupid stuff that was funny, too.

I thought EYES WIDE SHUT was the worst movie I have seen in the past 20 years (but I don't go to the movies a lot). I thought it was totally goofy.

"The Commitments" is a great movie! If you like songs like Mustang Sally, it's outstanding.
Not for everyone but anyone see "The Full Monty"?

All Time Favorite Movies: Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back

Favorite Comedies: South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and The Naked Gun

Favorite Sappy Movie: The Notebook (I have never been to another movie where the whole audience, both men and women, were balling and the end)

Not my favorite movies but movies I think are that are as close to perfect as movies can get: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Two Towers and The Return of the King (Extended special editions for all three)

The Notebook... actually loved the book first, and then saw the movie. Could not have been better cast. Garner and Rowlands did an excellent job. Sent the book to my Mom, before she passed away.... She loved it too

A few recent favorites..
Almost Famous
Bend It Like Beckham
Sling Blade
Orange County
and the anytime go to, goriest movie ever made, the uncut version of Dead Alive. It's got it all, humor- it doesn't take itself too seriously, it's a love story, and gore like you've never seen.
