Test drove a 2003 Viper today
What a awsome ride
Red with black int.
600 miles asking price $59,000
Looked at a 1972 Dodge Challenger R/T SE
383 number match loaded
auto trans 727 8 3/4 gear posi PS&PB
true muscle car Red Black int. asking $29.500
Or do i buy a set of headers and a gear set for the prowler for around $ 3,000 to $3,500
Question for anyone who has a set of headers have you had and problems with the check engine light coming on or has the gear set given you any problems.
Thanks for you opinions
Had a 1972 Plymouth Cuda 340 cid 4 speed i sold to buy the prowler but i miss the rumble of that V8
Thanks
Ron

Buy the Challenger AND get the headers/gears for the Prowler and still save $$$$. Plus then you will have 2 awesome cars. Headers will have no effect on the check engine light. Removing the catalytic convertors MAY cause the light to come on. Having the proper O2 sensors installed when the cats are removed will help.

Gears have have a slight whine and MPG will drop a bit but driving fun will be way up!

Dont have to think go for the Challenger and have a lot of money left to do what you want to Prowler. Also 5 years from now Challenger will make you money.

I installed the pro gear set last year. Best performance improvement for the buck! I highly recommend Deans gears! Can't comment on the headers.

From an investment point of view, I'd have to go with the Challenger.....

From the "cool" factor..not many nice Challengers on the street every day..once again I'd take the Challenger and save $30,000....

To those Viper owners, not implying a Viper is not cool, only more apt to see a Viper on the road than a nice Challenger...don't shoot me please I also turn my head to look every time a Viper rolls by...
