The Dickies 500 runs today at the great track in Texas. this mile and a half quad oval has 24 degree banking, providing us with under 30 second lap times. Nobody has been eliminated but Rusty, Kurt and Jeremy look like they will be racing for pride....but anyone knows that anything is possible. An early wreck could change the whole picture. big surprize here... JJ or Jeffy have not won here since it opened in 1997, ford has won 4 of the last five races. my top five picks Biffle, Harvick, Rusty, Tony, Edwards This race will be won on the last pit stop... Shave my back !!! Fill up the cooler !!! and don't forget the teeth .... its RACE DAY !!!!! This message has been edited by halicat on 11-06-2005 at 03:32 PM

The cup is within sight AC's picks: Biffel to win [has two Subway sandwiches packed for the long ride] - I've been with him all year,,,don't fail me now! Kenseth 2nd - Rousch team is strong and don't make pit stop errors Mark Martin 3rd - did I say the Rousch team is strong? Rusty Wallace 4th - retirement? are you kidding me? Smoke Stewart 5th - could win it,,,,,,but smooth and not gambling on wrecks is the more mature way to win the cup points race Darkhorse pick - UPS Jarrett #88 - did we forget that strong '06 motor used earlier to win a race? Lethia's guy Newman [fastest car in time trials,,,demolished,,,starting in the rear] - might make it to 7th or 8th START 'EM UP!!!

My picks in no particular order- 24,48,6,97,19. 20 car will finish way back after getting knocked out. hat's off to JJ for getting the extra laps in the 25 car. gotta think outside the box to win.

FORD - Rousch cars,,,, 1, 2, 3, and I had Smoke to finish with the big dogs,,,,,still the man to beat. My guy Biffel was super fast and leading the race until trouble with one rear tire, pitting under the green, cost him 1 1/2 laps behind when joining the field. Then a loose wheel caused him to spin,,,,,still finished the race.
OFF to Phoenix for next week! OK guys,,,,you can hate me for another week, lol.

Great pics. I will try hard to get to that track someday. It sure is cool when the race goes daylight to dusk. We go to Daytona for the July race, very cool. They are starting the Homestaed race at 4pm, so that will be new. I will be there for the finale. Hope the race for the cup is even closer for the last race. ------------------ BackinBlack
