Went to New York last night to see Cream perform the last concert of three shows in the US. Who knows if they will ever play together again... Anyway, it was the best concert I've ever seen, bar none.Anyway, the playing and the sound was incredible. The stage was very stark, except for a minimal light show as a backdrop. It was basically, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce rocking the Garden for 2.5 hours. No other musicians and no backup singers. Just Cream playing very tight all night; Badge, Spoonful, Rollin' and Tumblin'', We're so Wrong, Brave Ulysses, Crossroads, I'm So Glad, etc.. Jack Bruce, the vocalist for most of Cream's songs had a powerful voice and he played his bass like only John Entwhistle of the WHO could have done. He covered every inch of his instrument as they jammed through numerous Cream classics. Three exceptionally talented musicians going at it and it was a thrill to be there.

That sounds like a great show Bob. I thought about going to that also, been so long since they have done it. The $ is what shook me off it. BIG BUCKS they were getting for the Garden . I hope you got yours reasonable, but it was a one of a kind show, and they probably won't be back.------------------ BackinBlack

the Cream were so far ahead of their time.... Brave Ulysses is a great tune, my personal favorite.... an absolutely tight sound for a 3 man band....way to go Bob.....
