Forgot to post yesterday. Anyone here remember Ray Fahrner? Passed away this week-end. Used to build custom cars. In the ilk of George Barris and Daryll Starbird. Those guys built some beautiful cars in their day.

I went to his funeral Bill. He drank like a fish...wonder he lived as long as he did. His funeral was a who's who of car people! RIP Ray

I just got off the phone with William (Red) Hersey...lead singer from the Broadway musical "Hair" and producer of the TV series Kung Fu. Ray was his mentor!!

....I have seen his work, but had no recollection of the name...

....talked to Gene Winfield at a show recently.....some of the pioneers in the industry are getting up there, and many are already gone.....the Fifties and Sixties are further in my rear view mirror than I wish to remember...

My former bro-in-law used to work for him. As I remember his shop was over on old 40 hiway. I remember going down a little hill and around to the back of the building. Think his shop was in back of the building. Larry Allen was bro-in-law's name any chance you remember him. Used to do a lot of air-brushed t-shirts at the Mo. State Fair. Real artist. Larry was in Marshall last week. Sorry I missed him then.

Can't say that I know Larry...Ray's shop was right behind the Flying Goose Restaurant....You are correct about it's location!
