For those that have been following the Chase for the Championship..."we got the half mile of hell" ...Tony and JJ tied for the lead....Tony has the pole, JJ is in the 3rd row... Hopefully they will get more than 19 laps before someone gets a flat...and avoid that fiasco of a race we had last week. I'm sure the road rage factor will be big today.... guys bill be losing patience early, some that aren't in the chase will be thinking payback... guaranteed .... somebody is going to get mad...and aerodynamics aren't a factor...bump and grind !! my pick for the top five... Tony, Edwards, Biffel, Rusty, Jarrett.... sweep the porch... kick the dog.... and get in the truck, we're going racing....!!!!!

I expect 114 octane is about 9-10 bucks a gallon!! How long will NASCAR stick with the obsolete carburator?? I think ARA has already gone to injection...but maybe they are all running the same C5 engine...no matter whose brand name is on the car.

Jimbo - I hate the short tracks,,,stand on it,,let up,,stand on it,,let up. Rather watch a demolition derby. I'll be pulling for Biffel,,,,but I'm not going to predict this one. Jiffy, in one race there, was three laps down and won = Lucky Dog deal doesn't work for me,,,,really unfair. You lap a car,,,they should be a lap down down!!I might just watch paint dry today?

I know what you mean.. I used to hate the short tracks.... lately i've gotten some enjoyment out of them ... I think its because the drivers get so piss'd at eachother...I keep waiting for a big fight...maybe tennis is more your style today ?

Nice race - lots of cautions though. Rusty got a bum deal with 17 left. I wonder what would have hapened if Johnson got back to Tony's rear bumper at the end???

Wow !! exciting finish...History repeats... another win here for Jeffy Tony takes second.. JJ third..... (after Tony put the johnson on him with a few laps left) Labonte ...fourth Burton...fifth Rusty got a raw deal after running a great race... giving the inside row to the lapped cars on a short track restart is foolish... next week... Atlanta

Emotional time and race for the HMS team. 1 year ago the plane went down. Good for Jeff, Rick H. and the entire team. God bless those families. I can still say that ,right? Lots of woofin goin on after the race. Tony calling Biffle an idiot a bunch of times. Back to high speed next week in Atlanta, and I had to pass up on an oppurtunity to go because of too much work. Just not fair. Gotta get my priorities straight.------------------ BackinBlack

Short tracks used to be my least favorite too.In my old age I now enjoy them more than the cookie cutter mile and a half tracks where they stand on it most of the day. Short tracks require constant mental and physical attention. Stand on it, let up, constant spotter chatter, tight pit areas, bumping/grinding, etc.

You're right about not having much confidence AC--but don't think I even went to the POA until after the race. I KNEW you guys would be bashing him though so I had see what was said--but you were good guys this day with nothing bad to say--nothing much good either though He had the plan for this track it seems and even the broadcasyers were waiting for TS,the hothead, to make his move. They were surprised to see JG hold em off. As usual TS showed his class with his jerk remark. K Bush continues his run to the rear of the leaders--I like that. Future races should be interesting with JJ owing TS a nudge.
