The other night when they had Pujols coming up with two men on, I was thinking, INTENTIONAL WALK. He was "oh fer" and way overdue. Most baseball people say never walk the tieing or winning run. Pujols is unreal. It would have set up a force out at any base, additionally. It is easy to manage from my recliner, lol.

The Astronomicals are only 3 outs away. They have a 5-1 lead and are batting in the top of the 9th.

Good game,,,should be a great series As a kid, I liked the WhiteSox,,,,,,big fan of their's. But,,,,I would like to see Houston [my new home at the Prowler Museum] win it also. The team with the best pitching will win it.

Alley,You're like me I've got tons of older White Sox stuff around the house, jerseys, shirts, hats etc. I liked them years ago too, but I have to stick with Houston on this one. I'm glad both teams that are playing made it though.

I was there in 59' a young boy at that.... but here's how I remember the lineup. The starting lineup as I remember it was 3rd base, Gene Freeze, SS Louis Aparicio, 2nd base Nellie Fox, 1st base Ted Kluszuski, RF Al Smith, CF, Jim Landis, LF Minnie Monoso, C Sherman Lollar, Pitching Early Wynn. They won the first game and the lost the next 4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers......... This message has been edited by blackcat on 10-19-2005 at 11:10 PM

BlackCat, Freese and Big Klu had both been REDS. Klu is beloved here. He came back here and was a coach later on. I can name the 54 REDS but can't tell you who is playing now. They switch teams so often it is ridiculous. The last time I saw the White Sox in the World Series was in 1919 when the REDS played them. Joe Jackson was a good player. I am glad both Houston and Chicago made it, actually. The Astors have a killer pitching corp but I don't know much about the White Sox since they are in the junior league.
