I recently heard that Pat Robertson likened all the problems that we're having in the world to the beginning of the end as outlined in the Bible. Sure was thought provoking and made much of our daily going's on seem trivial by comparison. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Doomsday preachers have been around at least 1000 years!! I think Oral Roberts was going to die one time if he didn't raise 1,000,000 dollars....yeah right!!

Curt - can I get my policy started tomorrow? Didn't you say I could put my premium on a seven year balloon payment? Thanks! Al - interesting question. Do you think those people who died in Pakistan on saturday,,,thought on friday, that their next day would be their last? I'll ponder this more, later.

I didn't see the reference to the "end of the world secenario" on Snopes Ed. were you joking? I heard in on TV and then I never heard it mentioned again. I guess it's possible, but I'll be a true believer when Ca falls off the coast...

I heard the same thing from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson so I KNOW that ALL 3 are not making it up. lol It was a joke Al. Sometimes these guys say outrageous stuff to get their free publicity. Personally I don't watch Entertainment Tonight as my amin source of news. lol

This is my last day in Africa, (I'm in beautiful Cape Town) but I just wanted to add that Pat Robertson has ZERO credibility with me.Any clown who thinks he can pick and choose which of the 10 commandments to follow while pretending to be a spiritual leader is of no use to me. He's a fake and is only interested in self-promotion.

I agree that a lot and probably most televangelists are hoaxes or schemers out to line their pockets, but his quote was that the world was going the way the bible predicted. I didn't hear that he said send money to make it better. Saw some more buzz on the subject this morning on the tube. Hey, it could happen...no one really knows do they?

That loser Farrahkan collected over a million $$$ in donations,, ten years ago during the million man march in Washington DC. He said he was going to use the money to educate poor black students. I haven't noticed 'any' of "his educated people" show up in New Orleans to lend a hand or an opinion on how the city would be rebuilt. Guess that money was used to connect communications to the mother space ship he is always talking with,,,,
