For those that might be interested. Does not appear to yet have all the discount benefits of the AARP but looks promising especially for those conservatives among us.

That's why us old dudes continue to harass you "younguns" so you'll what to do when you get older!

Rich - I got my AARP card in the mail when I turned 50 (two years ago) but have had nothing to do with their organaization. You can even find better deals than their so called "discounts" in most cases.

He'll get older if he is smart enough to keep quiet when he gets around some of the "old" bikers! He can get away with it around us tho. LOL

Marty until recently I never paid much attention the their political leanings and only had the card for the discount. I did not even read the newsletter. I also have AAA which basically has the same benefits as AARP. I don't think I will be putting any more money into the AARP coffers so they can promote policies which I don't support.

Thanks for posting Rich....I'll be sure to tell Polioboy about this site as well .

Whoa...this really would be great to have an association that could provide economy of scale discounts and not have pinko bolshevik positions like AARP..

Great to see some of us "Senior Citizens" arn't as greedy as the AARP makes us look. I can not figure out why we should get "special prices" because we are older. Some young people have newborns and older kids, mortgages to pay and all the things life costs, they should get a price break! They are earning the least they will earn in their lifetime because they are just starting out. Graduating college or high school, getting married. They don't get any break at all.

Us slightly older folks have a house that is all paid for, no kids to support, they are all grown and gone, and our home all furnished with very little expenses and earning the most we have all our lives.... We get a break????

I can not believe that we who took care of our selves all our life should bleed the young people for more "FREE" stuff. They should pay for our medicines our doctors and hospital costs???? I don't think so. I am glad to see others agree with me.

Jim, I think a lot of the hotels give discounts because older folks don't tend to tear up the property, don't have a bunch of kids running around causing problems, don't come in drunk raising heck, etc. It is similar to senior citizen housing or apartments. Less maintenance, easier to deal with, etc. They are still making a ton of money, they just are dealing with a preferred demographic. They give the same discount to AAA members, it gets folks in the door. It is not charity.
My two cents worth.
