WOW...that is the finest looking PT I've ever seen!! Needs a turbo, but whatever it lacks in performance, it makes up for in looks. Absolutely beautiful paint! Perfect wheels for that application. |

Thanks Pat. Appreciate the compliment It was my intention to add a Jackson Racing Supercharger at some point - they are really nicely done - so much so they look like they came on the car. Check it out: The only thing left to do on the car is play with the engine compartment, so the new owner can go as crazy as he (or she) might like... |

I too would like to see some high resolution photos as I am in the market for another vehicle and this would be a perfect addition to my 2001 orange flamed prowler. Thanks, |

did you see the photos on the ebay page - that might give you a good idea what it looks like? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ultimate-PT-Cruiser-Show-Car-Street-Rod-Hot-Rod_W0QQitemZ4579619749QQcategoryZ15285QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#onPhotoChoice |

The article that first got me interested in them showed that a stock, normally aspirated PT produces about 150 horsepower at the crankshaft, and about 114 at the rear wheels. The JR Supercharger raises those numbers by about 50%, which would give you around 225 at the crank and 158 at the rear wheels, which would give it more horses and torque than the Turbo version of the PT. http://www.cruiserbits.com/sitegraphics/pages/homepage/PT_JR.pdf[/URL] I looked at the Whipple units as well, but they suck compared to the JR units in all departments (design, install, performance, you name it), and they're supposed to be a pain in the *** to live with, whereas the JR unit is bolt on and go. Plus it comes with a 2 year / 100,000 mile warranty, which tells me they have a lot of confidence in their design. Go ELF go Found a $1,000 off gift certificate for you too. It's on page 2 : ) This message has been edited by BuckNekkid on 10-05-2005 at 12:20 PM |

I got the pics and am looking into it more as well as talking to my significant other about the purchase. Will let you know. If by chance your reserve is not met on EBAY and I have not come up with the funds would you be willing to deal outside of EBAY? Tim |

Thanks Jim. I'm still hopin' someone I know (or at least someone who knows someone I know LOL) can get the car - I hate to see it fall into the "wrong" hands - it's far too nice to allow that to happen if I can help it. |
