Bet you're glad you couldn't find anyone to take that bet yesterday. I really felt the Chiefs weren't mentally ready to win that one. I guess we gotta give it to CJ this time. Her team showed up to play football. Remember they gotta come to KC soon. "MAYBE" it will be different then. No guarantees tho!!

The Jet can have Patrick Ramsey from the Skins. Joe Gibbs keeps switching between him and Mark Brunnell. If Ramsey departs, that'll be one less distraction on the Redskins.

As a Chiefs fan I just want to hide somewhere, anywhere. On of my son in-laws is a dieheart Bronco fan and has really been abusing me. I reminded him the Broncos still have to play at Arrowhead. The Chiefs WERE really flat last night. This message has been edited by Lone Ranger on 09-27-2005 at 11:16 AM

Not so,,,,Jake played college ball at ASU and wanted to stay in Tempe to play for the Cardinals. He didn't want to depart here really,,,,,but the fans had enough of his promises and failures. I will say it wasn't all his fault,,,,,the Bidwells [team owners] never pay enough to get good offensive lineman,,,so the quarterback is always going to get killed playing for the Cardinals.

Well then, sounds like he had a similar situation as John Elway when he first arrived in Denver. Everyone expected him to carry a team that wasn't able to do the job they were supposed to do. As Bob always says.....(with regard to the business world and being the top guy) you are only as good as your managers are......a quarterback can only do so much if he's trying to lead a group that isn't capable as a group. Elway took a lot of heat for a long time in not being able to carry the team alone (as he was expected to do). Eventually, with a new coach and an owner who was willing to spend money to get top-notch players, the rest is history. In my opinion, Elway's career stats would have even more awesome than they already were had he played under a better coach and had better players to lead..... Maybe Jake will get better with time.........maybe not, but only time will tell.

Earlier this week they announced locally that all fans would be patted down before entering the stadium Sunday. There was no particular threat, it was a new NFL rule! Anyone else around the country heard of this? Today they said they would NOT be frisking everyone due to the high cost to the taxpayers to have more deputies or cops on duty. The NFL backed off, at least temporarily. What a wonderful world, huh! Bengals will be 4-0 about 4 PM Sunday. They will whip Houston by 10 points, at least.

I had a season ticket for the Redskins in 2004 and they did the pat-down on everyone entering.

Ed - yes, that is the new NFL policy that is in place now for every stadium. The Cardinals didn't have to add any extra security force for the job,,,,,,,only 18,000 lost souls show up to the games,,,,,will not take long to get them though, lol.Cardinals vs. 49er's in Mexico City this weekend. 49er's by 20 points,,,and we are hoping the Cardinals will stay in Mexico!

I dunno Ed....it most likely IS a violation of your rights....but the kind of times we live in may justify a few "violations of our rights". Good luck to your Bungles....you guys deserve a good season. The Chiefies are exciting to watch since our new coach came to town!!

The first time we were patted down at a football game was the first game after 9-11 at the MEADOWLANDS. The towers were still smoking in the distance , and everyone understood the security . Now it seems normal. It's a shame, but needed.------------------ BackinBlack
